This guided tour will give you the chance to explore Meteora, known for its UNESCO-listed complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries perched atop soaring rock formations. Of the original 24 monasteries that were built over the centuries, only six remain open.
During your time here, you'll visit two of the six remaining monasteries by climbing up the cliffs. You'll also head to the Byzantine Church of Virgin Mary, which is the most important monument of Kalabaka. Along the way, you'll be able to learn about the area's history, culture and architecture as you admire panoramic views.

This tour includes visits to the hidden hermit caves, the Byzantine Church of Virgin Mary and the Monastery of Saint Stephen.
Please note that on Mondays, you will visit the Monastery of St. Rousanou instead of the Monastery of Saint Stephen.
A strict dress code is required to visit the monasteries. Men must wear trousers and long sleeves, while women must wear a long skirt.
Please note that if you turn up in shorts, trousers and skirts will be provided.
