This skip-the-line admission to Bishops Palace Museum offers you a guided experience through the 18th-century Georgian residence. You’ll be able to see the oldest piece of surviving Waterford crystal, dating back to 1789. You can also view Napoleon Bonaparte’s Mourning Cross, the only one of 12 pieces created upon his death. On this re-enactor tour, you’ll follow Susanna Penrose through the museum as she details the history and legacy of Waterford Crystal. Susanna Penrose is the granddaughter of William Penrose and great grandniece of George Penrose, the founders of Waterford Crystal. You’ll also have the opportunity to watch a craftsmen engrave a crystal piece. To round out the tour, you’ll watch a 4-D film detailing the storied history of glassmaking in Waterford.
