On this day tour from Ponta Delgada, you'll be able to explore Furnas, located on the eastern side of Sao Miguel. It is known for its geothermal healing water, geysers and volcanic landscape.
You’ll visit a ceramics factory, with plenty of scenic viewpoints along the way, such as Vila Franca Do Campo, Caloura and Furnas Crater. You can then make your way to the famous Furnas lakes and therapeutic hot springs. For lunch, you’ll take a break at a local restaurant and enjoy a traditional Azorean cozido stew.
Visits to other hot springs are also included in the itinerary. During the tour, you'll see the only tea factory in Europe and have the opportunity to admire the pretty architecture in Ribeira Grande. You can stop at the picturesque Santa Barbara beach before returning to Ponta Delgada.
