On this two-hour round trip, you'll board an electric-diesel train for a leisurely journey through the spectacular countryside of Mendocino County. You'll set out from the Willits valley floor and slowly ascend to the highest point of the railway line. As you pass through a tunnel, you'll head down into the Novo River's majestic canyon, littered with towering redwood trees.
You'll make a short stop at Crowley to view the ancient Wolf Tree, named for its unusual, one-sided growth. You can hop off the train here to stretch your legs and enjoy the breathtaking views.
