The owner and his wife are the most respectful and thoughtful individuals. There ability to sit down and talk to us Canadians and thank Canada for their freedom. It made me proud to be a Canadian.

The harbour area is an interesting area to walk around with lots of restaurants overlooking the waterfront. The market on saturday is very good. We visited the castle which is a good value tour with great views over the city. Dieppe also has several other coastal towns within about 40 minutes either side of it eg Treport and Veule les Roses. Driving in the area on the D925 was very relaxing and quite especially compared to the UK. Most places we visited had plenty of free parking.

Dieppe is a town steeped in Medieval history and Gothic buildings. Cathedrals and churches which are beautiful.
Dieppe is very expensive for food and drink especially.
French people seem very polite and friendly and greet you with a smile...
The food in various places was a bit disappointing for French Quisine.
They do not cater for vegetarian diners very well...
I am an English trained certified classic Chef who was taught to cook in the style of French Quisine and as such was often a little shocked that pomme fries were served up with almost at every meal and a lack of vegetables to accompany the order.
No Dauphinoise potatoes or other potatoe dishes offered on menus. Shocked at chips everywhere.
I myself am a former professional Classic trained French style Chef
Surprised at the limited choice of Menu at the Cafe Les Tribuneux.
One of the most famous restaurants in Dieppe..
Overall a friendly hustly bustly little town oozing with plenty of charm good atmosphere & hospitality.
I would still recommend Dieppe as a nice place to visit for travellers.
There is a great Fruit and Vegetable market on Saturdays also farmers selling fresh cheeses and other produce.
The market also sells clothes and leather goods, bags & purses. Etc...

Dieppe is an unsung holiday destination.
Dieppe is an unsung holiday destination. The expansive Saturday morning market is worth going for alone! It has a plethora of good restaurants and bars (take a bow "Au Bout La Bas"), a beautiful and very big beach, a fascinating history, and a brilliant swimming complex next to the beach. It also makes a great base for exploring the surrounding areas and towns such as Rouen and Etretat.

Wonderful town with old buildings, a busy harbour and a fabulous Saturday food market. Excellent food everywhere especially if you're a fish/seafood lover, spoilt for choice. Beach is clean and pebbly with lots of snack shacks for crepes/waffles and more.

Dieppe is beautiful with harbour walks and beach walks in horizontal streets. The castle is stunning at night and the harbour lights are incredible. There are lots of cafes and restaurants along the harbour. We went to one and they were unfriendly…. Quay 11. Food was ok but kind of hostile service. Most folks were pleasant.
In the street leading from the harbour there is a lovely restaurant Les Tribunaur,, with friendly staff and easy relaxed eating and drinking. But lots of choices so shop around. There is a tourist train which is a 45 minute ride all around the city and up to the castle. At 8 euros it’s a great buy. Boat trips along the coast daily too.

Dieppe is an amazing town . There are so many restaurants. Market is brilliant . Shops great . Harbour area lovely . Good beach prom walk . Lots to do . Little train . Museums . 2 churches . Great bars to sit outside .
Nicely placed just off the centre of town. It was a short walk to all of Dieppe’s attractions. our room was compact but clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was a secure storage room for our bikes, which is a pretty important facility when you are cycle touring.
We chose to have the hotel breakfast and it was a good decision, plenty of choice and a good start to the day.
We will happily stay here again. In fact we have already booked our next visit.
The location of this hotel was excellent - especially as a Canadian traveling with my elderly parents. We could see the Square du Canada from our window and the three other Canadian monuments are located within walking distance (Hamilton, Calgary and Essex regiments). Parking is 11 Euros extra and very conveniently located in the basement of the hotel. Breakfast (and the view from the 4th floor) was superb, and the staff was very friendly.
We loved it all. I didn't know what to expect of Dieppe but it is beautiful. The landscape and the feel of the place was very traditional and warm feeling. The hotel was clean and modern. The children enjoyed a little swim and sauna. It added a bit of novelty to the stay. Wish we could have had 1 more night and a whole day to look around and relax. Views from window and terrace were lovely. Breakfast was filling and great variety.
Les Arcades hotel was easy to find and the proprietor’s explained where to park for free as the pay car park behind the hotel was being used for part of the market area the next day. We were late arriving in Dieppe so had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was relaxing and delicious. The bed and pillows were very comfy, no quilt just blankets on our bed but it was not too cold so we slept well.
Really liked this little hotel, so near the centre of Dieppe, excellent for access to the restaurants around the harbour and nearby boulangeries on the Sunday morning, to buy our picnic. Very good welcome by the staff. Unrestricted parking outside as it was the weekend was a bonus too.
Pleasant hotel. Clean and quiet.
Receptionist let me leave my bike in the secure garage for the day, despite my having checked out that morning, as I was catching a night ferry and didn't want the hassle of wheeling a loaded touring bike around Dieppe.
Beautiful gîte in a very convenient spot to see the city and beaches of Dieppe. Great communication with the owner. Gîte was very clean and week appointed. All cookware, crockery and silverware you could need is available. I loved my stay here!
A busy well run hotel with good facilities, an easy check in and good on site restaurant. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the breakfast room stunning. It is an easy drive to the Dieppe ferry terminal.
Standard room, comfortable and clean nice staff good location. Plenty of choice at breakfast time. I use this hotel each time I visit Dieppe. Pet friendly too
You are allowed one token a day for a free hot drink
Cute and comfy apartment with all amenities in the heart of Dieppe. Steps to the beach, shopping, cathedrals, and restaurants. And, at the end of the day, there is a lovely, large bathtub.
Spacious and well equipped apartment, just a short walk to Dieppe Harbour. Very handy for ferry, with parking right outside. Well worth stopping and spending some time in Dieppe en-route.
Nice apartment in a good location for exploring Dieppe and area. Clean and had all our family needed to cook meals and relax after busy days. Clear communication with host.
