We loved to visit the Greek/Roman sites at Pozzuoli, Baia ,Bacoli and Cuma which were almost empty of tourists. There were a variety of restaurants within walking distance from the property, but it was easy to travel to Pozzuoli by public transport where the restaurants on the front are superb.

Pozzuoli, l'antic Puteoli, was a very important place in the roman empire and has so many interesting archeological sites, like the 3rd biggest anfitheater Flavio and the tempio di Serapide, an antique market place, as well as the Rione Terra, this unique underground archeological site and above the very new houses and modern Cathedral of San Procolo, which is an interesting project.

Pozzuoli is a pleasant, friendly Campanian town with a small busy port and many good sea food restaurants. For those who are interested in Roman history and archaeology we can recommend a visit to the Rione Terra district, the Roman amphitheatre (fascinating well-preserved substructures only), the Roman villa complex at Baia (Parco Archeologico) and the Museo Archeologico dei Campi Flegrei, the latter being housed in the wonderful Castello Aragonese di Baia. Daily ferry connections with the islands Procida and Ischia. Train and/or bus connections to Napels, Bacoli and Cuma are excellent. All in all Pozzuoli is a wonderful base for all kinds of excursions in the area. We greatly enjoyed our stay and thank all the kind local people who contributed to the experience.

Nice for snorkeling and diving at the Argeological Marine Park. Volcano Solfatara is closed but you can still have a nice view over it from the road next to it.
Nice old bits in the town like the amfitheater, cathedral and macellum. There are some very good pizzeria's too. We only spent a few days here but I can imagine there is lot's more to do here.

The breakfast was very poor, thank goodness you don’t have to pay for it. Uncovered meats, chilled items that were un chilled, bathroom turned into a wet room when using the shower due to broken fixings. Infestation of pigeons at breakfast time and a dirty terrace. Generally the property is in poor state of repair and cleanliness., not what you expect from an alleged 4 star hotel. Hotel management uninterested. Not worth the money.

We went to Pozzuoli as a stop over on our way to Procida.
We went to Pozzuoli as a stop over on our way to Procida. We did that instead of staying in Naples. We had no expectations but found it very reasonable and charming.
It has great ferry service to Procida so it was a great choice for us to stay there.
The location was good and the sea view from the balcony was lovely. Maria Elena and her neighbour were very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller it was good to know there was someone to ask for help or advice if needed. If you didn’t want to cook in the extremely well equipped kitchen it was close to eating and drinking places. Pozzuoli has a bit of everything on a small scale - an interesting quieter more laid back alternative to busy Napoli.
Lovely light and clean room with a balcony. The breakfast was coffee and a croissant in a local café. I thought this was a little strange at first, but actually the café was on the way to the train station, so it worked really well! Great location for Pozzuoli Solfatara train station, Solfatara volcano (currently closed, but visible from the road) and the Flavian amphitheatre. Walking distance to the port for ferries to Procida and Ischia.
I love this little hotel right over the sea with a view of the water, and close to the beach and dive center. The staff is kind without over-reaching. The rooms are clean, and the sea air through the window divine. You can hear the waves! Free parking and a local area full of food stores and small restaurants / cafes if you walk a bit. Reasonably priced and a lovely location for a basic hotel, with nice people.
Very good location, close to the train station, ferry port & city center. We arrived early in the morning and the host allowed us to drop our luggage in the morning so that we could catch the ferry to Procida. We were impressed how spotlessly clean everything was. Very nice & friendly owners. Good facilities to have coffee in the morning and a quick breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is nice and cozy. We had a really pretty room with a balcony and an amazing view of the sea. It was spectacular and very relaxing. The room was serviced every day (cleaning, changing the bedsheets and towels). There was a big wardrobe where we could keep our clothes and a cabinet for other things like jewellery or cosmetics. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
In front of the train station in Pozzuoli! (Note that there are two stations, one above and one (we stay) below the hill). 2 minutes walk to the port where the ferry to Ischia leaves. The room is bright, quiet and comfortable. It was nice to have breakfast available. The staff are very friendly and quick to respond. We really enjoyed life by the sea! We will visit again for sure!
Beautiful second floor apartment overlooking the square in Pozzuoli. Walking distance to the marina and impressive Roman amphitheater (third largest in Italy).
Very clean and well appointed. Nespresso type coffee maker was nice to have. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the activities/people in the square. A true Italian downtown experience. Great pizza just around the corner!
The location was great right next to the station to get to Napoli. Clean with a comfortable bed. Great value for money. The breakfast in the morning was in a cute cafe (ask for a cold cappuccino it was lovely)
Pozzuoli is also a really nice town to explore and a nice treat from the city. Amazing stay - highly recommend!
This was an amazing stay for our Naples trip. Much cheaper than staying in Naples directly whiel still a quick train ride away. The host was very accommodating of our late check-in due to a delayed flight. The apartment was clean and spacious for two people. But best of all was Pozzuoli itself, such a charming town.
Everything was great and so nice! The hotel is beautiful our room was magical the jacuzzi in the room top cherry! Breakfast was great and we loved the location. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to wake up with the best feeling and view of the coast of Naples.
the pool in our suite was nice and I liked, Tag that the bed was in an extra room. there was an enclosed parking lot for the hotel just around the house. compared to other places we stayed at, the price-performance ratio was good.
In the centre of Pozzuoli, we stayed for one night comming back from Ischia and close to the airport to leave the next day.
Breakfast simple but sufficient.
Good restaurant in front of the hotel, Don Antonio.
Francesca is very thoughtful. Breakfast in the room was so helpful, and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. The location was fun -- you can walk all over Pozzuoli from her location. We plan to return.
