The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

Istanbul is an enchanting blend of varied traditions, diverse cultures, mixed ethnicities, rich history, and of course mouth-watering cuisines. A land where the East meets West!
Istanbul is vast and spread across different geographic boundaries. Visiting all the major attractions in one trip is nearly impossible, unless you plan to travel across all the major attractions, which certainly will take weeks.
Language is a barrier among the locals, making it difficult to communicate in English with drivers, hotel staff, waiters and locals. The only English word everyone understands is "Problem". They use it in every context :D
Weather can be a challenge. Unexpected rains, drizzles and storms in the cold temperatures of winter may disturb one's itinerary.
Overall, this is a beautiful city with a vast range of activities to do and sites to visit. The cultural heritage and the rich ancient landmarks transport you to a whole different world!

Had to get away from the main streets to find reasonably priced restaurants. Restaurants very similar, not much variation in choice of meals. Walk the back streets to find hidden gems & bargains. Get the Istanbul card for cheap travel around the city. Disappointed to discover it costs 25 euros to enter Hagia Sophia. Finally we got the bus/coach back to the airport, approx. 5 euros each instead of 30 euros each by taxi

Istanbul is a treasure of history, culture, food and atmopshere. There is something to do for everyone, and despite having visited 4 times now, there is always something new to do. Istanbul is a walking city, with lots of steep streets and hidden treasures. Like all tourist hotspots, be prepared to haggle and enjoy the local culture, but be sure to also enjoy the local cuisine and dip into the outskirts, the less popular areas where you will experience more local food and way of life. There are so many museums and mosques and historical monuments to be enjoyed and seen, but take time to explore and study them too, there is really a deep history to take in. We enjoyed the private boat cruise using one of the many providers, it was about 25 people in total, so not too crowded. I could write a book on visiting Istanbul, but you will not regret visiting here if you like city walks and city breaks (this is not a beach / resort holiday place)

Istanbul was great.
Istanbul was great. You have to watch out for taxi drivers as they try to agree on a fix fare and rip you off rather than using the taxi meter. You have to speak to locals and get an idea of the fares. In shops you have to haggle hard to get the price down from what they quote you.

Apart from the most well known sights.....
Apart from the most well known sights.....Two day trips (Bosphorus cruise, Princes' Islands) using the incredibly cheap Sehir Hatlari ferries: saw places difficult to access by land, the destinations were unspoilt and calm but with plenty of options to eat and drink. Tram, ferry, metro frequent, fast and cheap (Istanbulkart essential, but other tourist cards not good value unless you plan to visit lots of museums etc) Roads in the centre crammed in afternoon rush. . Be aware that admission to some of the major sights (e.g. Topkapi, Haghia Sofia) is very expensive, so decide what you really want to see. If you want to have a meal under the Galata bridge (best at night in my opinion) do your research in advance: watch out for obvious fake reviews and look at places which have menus with prices online. Note that the city centre on both sides of the Golden Horn is built on steep hills: great for views in all directions, but it can make distances and walking times misleading.
Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Taksim. The staff is just amazing..all the different receptionist who attended to me were soo warm and willing to assist at a times. They also recommended the best kebab local spot to me which was amazing..just next door. I also booked a day tour of Istanbul through them and the tour guide was amazing as well. Highly recommend The Prelude Hotel to anyone..bustling location just meters from Taksim Square with all the restaurants and shops. I'll definitely be coming back
I always stay in this hotel because of experience staff who are working in this hotel I have to mention and thanks first ms nazly she is an excellent experience person in management team. Also the reception staff yousif at night and bushra at morning. The cleaning staff. Within my staying time I feel I been home and treat it perfectly which normally except for a 5 stars hotel. I diffidently recommend this Ramada hotel to anyone want to be enjoying and feel the best hospitality in Istanbul
There is nothing to complaing about. From their location to staff, breakfast buffet, room, cleanliness, everything was top notch. This is my second time staying at this hotel and I definitely will be whenever I'm visiting Istanbul in the future. Their staff was really helpful and informative. They can give suggestion on when and where to go. I feel like I'm staying at a 5 stars hotel with their hospitality. This hotel also has the best rooftop view
Alya Suits Taksim, just remember this name for the budget friendly hotel in Istanbul near Taksim square. I have stayed here to attend my meeting in Istanbul and found it comfortable & easy to approach. The hotel receptionist (Mr. Vicky) is very friendly and cooperative. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. Will be back to this place soon..!!!
The hotel is located in the best location in Taksim, near Taksim Square and one block from Istiklal Cd, which is one of the streets with the largest commerce in the place. The staff is always very willing to meet our needs at all times. I highlight Hasan since he helped us with solving doubts, he helped us with the laundry service and also with the transfer service to the airport.
in summary, a great hotel,
Location was perfect with stunning view over the Bosphorus. It was located super close to any major area with Istanbul best sites to view. Ferry and bus stops right next to hotel. One bus away from the airport. And area filled with shops, bars, restaurant and available very late in the evenings. Located next to busy road but once the balcony doors closed you can’t hear much of busy Istanbul outside.
The Hotel is at a perfect location, close to everything you want to see in Istanbul, in front of the hotel you can catch the underground metro that will take you to the Asian Side and also the outdoor metro T1 can take you to Taksim square and other places.
The hotel is very clean, the staff is Great and so is the breakfast. It was an amazing experience, i would recommend it to everyone.
The best part about staying at Grand Naki was the location. There were moscs and trams nearby, so it was a great choice since we did not want to take any taxis. The hotel also provided us with affordable taxis for the airport rides.
They also had services for a boat tour on Bosphorus for a reasonable price, so again, it is a good choice if you want to enjoy istanbul in a short time.
Great place to stay right in the heart of Istanbul with all the public transport within reach. Nicely decorated and very clean rooms, very polite and helpful staff.
Would recommend it to anyone who wishes to be in the heart of the city and the nightlife activities (2 minutes to Taksim Square by foot!!) and needs a great hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms to stay in.
I had an amazing time at Naz City hotel. The location was perfect and the hotel offers a free 24 hour shuttle to few main spots within the city like taksim square. The staff in particular was very helpful especially Mr Burak who helped us out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the European side of Istanbul.
Location is perfect...close to Taksim square, metro, shopping street, just 5 min walk from HaviIST airport shuttle drop-off.
We checked the SPA at 20.00hr one night and it was fully functional and staffed, so the hotel justifies the SPA in the name.
All staff were English speakers, whist general feel of Istanbul restaurant was so-so
The hotel was great.
Just 5 mins walk to Taksim square
The breakfast spread was pretty good, quite a number of options for vegetarians too.
The staff is fab, very warm, friendly and always at your service. Special shout out to Yunus and Ozcan for lending the Istanbulcart, it came handy to us.
Rooms are big, spacious and clean
The hotel and the rooms were so clean , the staff were very friendly and helpful they even gave us an extra hour after the check out , I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone I know it’s one of the best hotels I stayed in Istanbul even tho it’s not 5 stars better then some 5 stars I have stayed in here.
Location is fantastic, walking distance to Taksim square, and walking distance to Nishantashi. Metro station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Room is specious and bath shower is fabulous. Beds not very comfortable but is ok.
Breakfast is outstanding, it is the best breakfast i ever had in Istanbul 5 star Hotels.
the staff was friendly and really helpful especially selcuk and saftir they were great hope u give them a raise 😂🤍 , the hotel is quiet and very clean had the best stay in Istanbul even though i stayed in 5 stars hotels and expensive hotels this one was better and the quietest & best of them all
the staffs was so friendly and kind. the view of the restaurant was amazing and the room was so clean. everything was ok and if I want to come to istanbul again, I would like book this hotel again. the location is close to taksim square but you should walk like a climb for about 5 minutes!
I would say it is the most comfortable place among the places I have stayed in Istanbul. It is very close to Taksim square, from there it is convenient to go anywhere. The hotel managers are very caring, always interested and help in whatever you need.
Location of the hotel was walking distance from Taksim Square and Osmanbey.
Staff were so nice and this is a big difference in a multicultural destination like Istanbul.
The room had ac.
The breakfast was top.
BEST hotel in Istanbul.
everything was perfect. big room with balcony, amazing bathroom. the bed was excellent.
the service and the team was kind and pleasant.
