My stay at Maher house was an amazing experience. The location is walking distance from Borobudur, a literal 1O minutes. And, in the same area there is a whole street of stores and places to buy food. Maher house is located in the village, which is great because you get to enjoy village life and maybe interact with the friendly locals. Plus, there’s a lot of cool chickens walking around. Maher house was very clean, and it had a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was made fresh and it was delicious! Yusuf and his wife were great hosts, their main objective is for their guests to be comfortable. Thanks again!

Janur Bungalow offers an accommodation in Borobudur, set in a village surrounded by rice fields. It boasts an outdoor pool with overflow circulation system. Bobby the host/owner is super accommodating and kind throughout our stay. He made sure that everything we need was taken care of.

Offering clean and comfortable rooms, Efata Homestay is located just a 5-minute walk from Borobudur Temple. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. It's impossible to feel more welcome then here. Not only are Ika and Yani very hospitable and lovely people, they have a true and genuine passion for what they do. Ika provides you with all the info you can possibly need and will never grow tired answering your questions. The room is comfortable, clean and has a good and quiet airco and hot shower (but you probably want a cold shower). Yani makes you a delicious breakfast. Very highly recommended! 44 Guest House Syariah se află în Purwokerto, la aproximativ 21 km de Owabong și la 42 km de Mount Slamet. Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!

I can say…there is no better option for stay in Jepara and it doesn’t matter if go for vacation or business. Very quiet place a nice staff always prepared to help your requests. 10/10

We had a wonderful time. The place was lovely and relaxing. The family was super sweet and while they didn't speak much English they made every effort to communicate with us. On arrival we were given drinks and home made snacks including a range of fruit from the garden. Dinner was cooked for us before settling in for the evening. Before sunrise they gave us a bike ride to the lookout point and had breakfast ready with a delicious homemade tea to send us off. We would happily stay again if we were in the area.
