Stay above the clouds in our hilltop off-grid cabin! Drive just over an hour from Melbourne, and you’ll find our tiny house nestled in 100 acres of private land with mountain views. Perched spectacularly atop a steep hill, you’ll catch every magical sunrise and enjoy the changing light in the evening as the shadows fall over the land. Our tiny home offers a slower pace of life, and has everything you need for an unforgettable stay – including a small and cozy outdoor bath so you can bathe under the stars! Our Tiny House is a completely off-grid experience. We're powered completely by solar, use water tanks, gas bottles and a compost toilet (which works better than a regular toilet, we promise). Our home features a loft style bedroom with Queen size Koala bed and 100% flax linen, a lounge area with a Koala sofa bed (turns into a double), induction stove top kitchen with bar fridge, bathroom with shower, a large living edge timber vanity and a composting toilet. The home is heated and cooled by a reverse cycle air conditioner, multiple fans and hot water bottles – plus there is a large fire pit outside with ample firewood supplied in winter only. Be mindful during fire ban periods, as you cannot light a fire during this time. We have a gas hot water system, so you’ll enjoy a hot shower and fill up your hot water bottles for the night! There is an outdoor area to enjoy, consisting of a multi-level deck, outdoor bath, fire pit and of course sweeping breathtaking views from your high vantage point atop one of our hills. This is the perfect retreat for couples, friend groups or small families who want to escape to the wild and enjoy the rugged beauty of the surrounds, or even use it as a base while you explore further afield. Our 100 acres is home to many resident animals, and as such the land can be uneven with rabbit holes and the like. The hills are steep, which gives incredible views, but remember to tread carefully and know your fitness levels.

Wandong is a small town in Mitchell Shire on the Hume Highway, just an hour from Melbourne CBD. We’re just another 15 minutes from here! At Wandong you’ll find an IGA, Pub, Post Office, Bakery, Train Station and more. There’s also a sweet little park with a variety of roses and a public toilet. There are numerous other towns (such as Broadford and Wallan) within a stone’s throw of your stay if you’d like to explore – though why not simply switch off and stay onsite soaking in the beautiful views (while soaking under the stars in the outdoor bath!). You'll feel completely alone when you're surrounded by rolling hills and nature on our 100-acres of bushland, yet just a hop, skip and a jump 15 minutes down the road you'll arrive at Wandong (one of the nearby towns). You will need a car to drive into town but when exploring the land, hiking shoes are best! Most roads in the area are sealed, but part of the road to our property is unsealed. It is still accessible by 2WD. Please don't use Apple Maps to get to our property, it takes you the wrong way. If coming from the North, also make sure you don't take Strath Creek Rd or Reedy Creek Rd - you cannot access our property this way (only our neighbours). Make sure to take the Broadford Wandong Rd exit off the Hume Highway (it's a big Clonbinane sign). This will take you down Spur Rd and then into Doctors Creek Rd. There is a V Line train station at Wandong should you wish to ditch the car for an outing – please ensure you check service times and destinations available. Times and destinations can be checked via the PTV app.
