Tongeren is a very clean village. The people are always very kind and courteous. We enjoy eating at the different restaurants. They have a gelato shop with plenty flavors. If you want a great selection of wines, then Vinotel is the place for you! The Grand Place is quant with a beautiful Cathedral. Most things are within walking distance. The shops are well decorated and inviting. You’ll find plenty of Antique stores too.

Tongeren is a great place if you want to enjoy typical Belgian hospitality and a 'walk back in time'. Parts of the town are very old. In fact it is the oldest town in Belgium. Ambiorix the local hero defeated the Romans. The Gallo-Roman museum is a must.

If you are interested in Antiques - you really should visit the weekly Antiques Market: It is quite good, with a huge number of vendors and surprisingly reasonable prices. For us, it was worth the trip.

Rustic old town with the roman city walls, gallo-roman museum.. which for me was the highlight. I learnt a lot about human civilization and origin of European history & thought. Loved the food culture and I would highly recommend 'De Infirmerie'. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Tongeren!
Great hospitality by Liry, who also gave us some interesting advice in terms of parking place and resto's in Tongeren. The breakfast is nothing luxurious but great in quality and service. The house is also located close to Tongeren (you can even walk to the center if you like walking a bit - count on about 30' firm walking). It is also at walking distance from the wellness center sané (900m).
Location was in the center of Tongeren. Very convenient. There is a restaurant coffee shop at the ground floor. You check in on line. When we got to the front desk, our room key was readily available in less than 5 minutes. The front desk person gave us some info about the hotel amenities which was the bulk of his speech. Very nice. Elevator was right near the lobby.
We absolutely loved every single detail. The owner is very kind, helpful and amazes her guests with little suprises. The studio is very chic and guarantees a very pleasant experience. Tongeren is a small, quiet and historic town where children and young persons can explore the large park and play ground while parents can have something to eat and drink.
Our hosts we friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The breakfast was terrific and the design elements in the hotel were thoughtfully chosen. I can't thin of anything that needs improving.
And, if you are in Tongeren for the Antiques - it is a straight shot by foot to the center of the city ... about 15minutes ( 3 in a car, but I wouldn't drive).
Very clean, spacious and cozy. The kitchen has everything you may need for a pleasant stay, including espresso machine and kitchen appliances. The host was very kind and responsive to requests. He welcomed us with nice Belgium chocolate candies and left some drinks in the fridge. He was also kind to bring to us the earbuds we left at the property.
unique restored farmhouse with lovely books and crannies, antique architecture and beautiful courtyard and back field. lovely carefully prepared breakfast. option to eat with interesting fellow guests (or not). Fun and delicious restaurant across the street for dinner. great location convenient to Tongeren city but also in nice rural setting.
If you stay in Tongeren the B&B Gaudium is definitely the place to stay. Starting with a very warm welcome, a nice and quiet place in the middle of the town, great rooms with a lot of comfort, and a lovely breakfast. Car park, restaurants, etc. just a few meters away. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this place.
Location excellent! Modern hotel, nice decor throughout. Champagne and Mother’s Day free wine on arrival was a lovely touch! Room size great and bathroom very clean. Bed very comfortable and slept very well. Staff very nice and helpful. Like that you can organise a late checkout if required for an extra €10 which was worth it.
This is an accomodation and staff that are exceptional in everything they do. Friendly, interesting people, and they are totally committed to making you enjoy your stay. The ice cream shop on the ground floor is just the final bonus on top of it all, the best in Belgium. And the location could not be better.
This place is perfect for a stay with three couples: 3 bedrooms, all with double beds. It's probably the best value for money in Flanders with the renewed bathroom and the other facilities. Plenty of cycle trips are possible. Tongeren is within 3 km. Nice antiques market on Sunday. Nice beguinage etc.
The location is super convenient in the city center. The room was big and well equipped. The staff (basically the manager) was super friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The (wine) bar of the hotel has a great selection of wines (also by the glass).
Only superlatives for this wonderful place. Friendly owners, warm welcome! House was very cosy and comfortable, with an eye for small details. Nothing negative whatsoever. If you want to spend a couple of days in Tongeren, this is the place you want to stay :-)
Nice B&B in a quiet town. Very kind and attentive owner. Great breakfast. A bit outside of Tongeren but a nice escape from the noise of the city. Perfect for what we wanted. The frittur down the street has excellent food, more than just fries.
The customer service late at night and continuing care during the stay. A lovely hotel and attention to detail and cleanliness was 100%
The food was of good quality and a decent range. Truly lovely establishment.
Great location in tongeren, easy to walk to restaurants, bars and the market starts just outside. There's also a nature walk 5 minutes away too. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.
The hotel was great and gives champagne upon checkin. Right in the middle of the pedestrian zone with several cafes and restaurants close by. Great hotel and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Wonderful Boutique Hotel, very spacious room, in top location, with very friendly service, who provided all assistance needed, and great breakfast. We really enjoyed it!
