Tarifa has one of the best beaches I've been to. Large, with fine sand, clean and easy entry into the water. Due to the winds, the area is good for water sports (kite surfing, etc), not so much for swimming, due to the waves. Good position to watch the sun set into the sea.
Great place to chill at a bar nearby the beach, eat ice cream, have dinner.
Tarifa is also very close to Morocco, a short ferry ride away from Tangier. Highly recommend the trip if you have the opportunity.

Great little town, the beach full of kite surfers when we arrived & was a sight to see. Very sweet small old town, clean, cute shops, excellent eateries including Powerhouse bakery & dinner at Axta- superb! Very walkable, views for sunset over the sea, Morocco in the distance. Low key in feb & most enjoyable.

Tarifa is a very unique place with a super relaxed and good vibe. If you want to explore the coast line it's a great base, easy to park cars outside the old town walls. There are various dunes and historic sites to visit within 1 hour of the city as well as view points from various locations with unbeatable views of the coastline and seeing Morocco which is pretty special. For eating, there is an amazing Italian Restaurant highly recommended called La Trattoria. I am Italian and the pasta was very good quality for Spain. There are also lovely restaurants beyond the port along the beach and in the area just outside the old town walls towards this direction. It is easy to walk around the city and there is plenty of shopping in boutique shops as well as surfer/sports shops. Huge amount of water sports activities on offer too.

Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch.
Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch. Pretty shops and a good walking town, cool places along the beach for a drink or to eat. Ferry terminal in the town. Lots of bars and restaurants. The town has a cool beachy vibe.
We stayed at the hotel during our stay in Tarifa for Kitesurffing. The best advantage of the hotel is that is very close to the beach and all key spots for Kitesurffing. It’s also a feW minutes drive from Tarifa city and other bars/restaurants along the way. It has its own parking space and a restaurant which is very convenient. Food is also delicious and staff is very friendly. Overall good value for
money!
Great spacious apartment close to the beach and old town. We stayed here for four weeks while working online. The bed is a bit small, but it's very comfortable and fine for a couple. The kitchen is very well equipped. Nice rooftop to watch the sunset from. Unfortunately it was still too cold for the pool to be in use. The host and his father-in-law were very hospitable and helped us whenever needed.
This is the old town of Tarifa and it cannot be an ordinary hotel - it has a character. The kitchen is well equipped, and very clean. Air-conditioning is working fine. The staff is welcoming and very kind. No noise from the street but due to limited soundproofing you hear your neighbors who should be quiet after 22.00.
Great choice in Tarifa! This stylish hotel is located on the edge of the old town, so it is close to everywhere and yet it is a quiet location. Beautiful view from the roof terrace, tea, coffee and fresh fruit available all day. Very helpful staff can advise you where to go during the day and in the evening 🙂
Amazing appartement, clean and spacious, location really close to the beach, nice swimming pool, easy parking, good communication with the host, easy check-in and check-out, great local tips to do in town. A 15 minute walk to the old town of Tarifa and easy drive to go to the beaches were you can kitesurf.
The hotel is set in a gorgeous chilled location 2 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes from the old town. The hotel has a Thai balianse style theme really chilled lovely. The pool area was lovely the hotel is nice and small and not overcrowded. Definitely recommend.
A basic and nice room at a good price. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable after we removed the topper that softened the mattress too much for our taste. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel location is ideal for exploring the old town of Tarifa.
perfectly situated and in the center of old town great people watching view from your window. definitely bring earplugs as it gets loud.
amazing and very helpful staff
very clean and cute room
Nice, modern, boutique hotel in the center of everything (Tarifa isn't big, but still the location is great). Easy walk to restaurants/bars, beach, sights, and the ferry. Clean, comfy, friendly.
The apartment is new and cosy, in quiet location, 15min to walk to beach and old town. Grocery store is just across the street. Very well equiped kitchen and nice rooftop with excelent view.
Hotel, wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, comfortable beds and bathroom, good lighting in room, large swimming pool, nice grounds, great location near kite surfing beaches..
Wonderful little boutique hotel. Room was impeccably decorated, the location was fantastic within the old town. The municipal parking was close by and free at the time we went.
The location is perfect, very close to the beach and the old town. As a bonus you can enjoy the sunsets on the rooftop, would book this apartment anytime again :)
Perfect location near old town and ferry terminal. Incredible views from the roof deck with very close access to safe parking at the ferry terminal parking lot.
