There's no shortage of horse statues all over town and a park houses the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, a dressage riding school with public performances. Little gem of a small Spanish city. Lively , authentic town bustling with cafes bars and restaurants. It’s definitely a poor relation to Seville but it felt self , friendly and less touristy than other popular Spanish destinations. Can walk around city easily . Great food options

The apartment was in the best location off one of the very popular squares where all the tour guides meet. There are so many bars/restaurants/cafes around here, it was hard to choose from but they were all good. The car parking was easy and close to walk to. However, it is best to park the car and walk around Jerez de la Frontera which is very easy and the best way to see and experience everything. Jerez is famous for its Andalusian horses and the Show is amazing and worth seeing. Flamenco is everywhere and again, try and see this in a bar or two while you have a tapas. It is also famous for its sherry growing and a tour around one of the sherry places is a must. However, check the reviews before you book a tour as not all are good value. On top of all the historic and beautiful buildings, there is a lot in Jerez to keep you interested and active.
I would avoid the Tio Pepe sherry tour as we felt this was a real scam. A silly carnival tractor that took you very slowly around the owner's garden followed by a tour that, depending on the tour guide, could have been so much more interesting but mostly concentrated on advertising Tio Pepe and their brands around the world. The tasting at the end was appalling - no tasting notes or explanations of the wines. Just all put on your table at once with a few nuts/ham/cheese and left.

Jerez is an amazing and off the beaten track town in Spain.
Jerez is an amazing and off the beaten track town in Spain. Very conservative and traditional, the locals know how to have fun their way. I've decided to move to Jerez in the next 5 years - I love it so much!

Unfortunately arrived on a Sunday and a lot of places closed but were able to get a restaurant table. Shops were opened on Monday but some eateries and bars were still closed. We spent good time at our accommodation which had a pool.

The city is vibrant with life, lots of quality restaurants and nice bars. The city center is made up of small plazas and inter connecting narrow streets, great for exploring on foot. Places of interest close to the center include the cathedral, Bodega Tio Pepe and the alcazar.

Nice little Spanish town, you can walk the centre everywhere very easily, there is plenty of tapas bar where you can relax and enjoy the Andalusian atmosphere. Few nice buildings around the town and plenty of pretty squares in the historic centre.

Once in awhile you find a place in your travels that is far superior than what you thought it would be. The pictures looked great online, but the reality was way better. This a must stay if you go to Jerez de La Frontera! It’s steps from all the fun!
I love showers and this one is beautiful with plenty of force and hot water. The bed is comfortable, the decor is so cool, you’ll want to stay for a month. The kitchen is sleek and has everything you might need. Windows galore but auto shades to keep it dark if you want.
Really a great place.
The hotel is only minutes from the restaurants, Alcazar and Bodegas you may wish to visit. Virginia must be one of the best hosts we have had from any hotel we have stayed at. She really cares about her guests and wants you to have the best time with advice on restaurants, places to visit and happy to spend time actually booking if you wish. On the day we were leaving she had booked the taxi for us and, although she was not working on the Sunday we left, rang me at the time to make sure the taxi had arrived and allwas Ok.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing. They were very helpful and nice in a sticky situation. The breakfast was great, there is a nice, relaxing bar for and evening drink and a very good restaurant I would highly recommend. We used the valet parking which I also recommend. The staff does all sorts of extra things for the guests: taking care of luggage coming and going, chocolates delivered in the evening, a teddy bear delivery for sleeping, and a gift bag when you check out. It was all so nice!
The hotel was well appointed, family run, welcoming hotel in a pandemic situation. The receptionists, Estafania and Fatima, were delightful. It was great to receive a message prior to arrival to advise of the best way to approach to hotel and access parking. The two girls are a complete asset, they were on hand to help whenever needed. Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, large traditional bathroom.
We booked a Junior Suite. The room was very spacious , comfortable and quiet. It looked over a courtyard at the back. The bathroom was huge and the shower was the best one that we had out of all the hotels that we stayed in while touring Andalucia by train. Great location too; close to the cathedral, alcazar and several bodegas. The staff were friendly and helpful. An all round excellent stay.
What the Nuevo Hotel lacks in elegance and opulence, it makes up for with character and charm. For accessing many of Jerez’s restaurants and bars, it quite simply couldn’t be better located.
Those who need pampering should look elsewhere, but those who want to immerse themselves in the authenticity of this beautiful city should take advantage of this hotel’s exceptional value.
Astuto is close to everything you want in Jerez, attractions, shopping and restaurants. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel staff is super friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make you at home. The property is well appointed, clean and the rooms are comfortable. They have an agreement with a nearby parking garage at a reduced rate which makes it convenient.
We had a very pleasant stay here. We mainly just needed a place to stay while we visited the vineyards and tasted the sherry at Tio Pepe and did not want to drive home. The property was very charming, clean, quiet and beautiful. The restaurant Pedro Nolasco was some of the best food I have had after living in Spain for a year. The staff was wonderful as well.
Everything was amazing 😍. We travelled Spain for 2 weeks and this was by far the best accommodation we had in that time. Rooms are very clean, staff is able to speak fluent english, it's close to the city centre and in a quiet neighbourhood. The Rooftop chillout area is really nice also.
The hotel itself was incredibly stylish, well appointed and in a great location to explore Jerez. The rooms were spotlessly clean, amazing shower and the most comfortable bed. Best of all was the service received and help with bookings and restaurant recommendations.
The room I stayed in was very clean and had air conditioning. Clean sheets, clean towels provided. It had nice tile floors and the hotel managers were incredibly nice. The hotel is located close to the city center, and it’s a very small, locally owned place.
The place is gorgeous! It is a gem and if you want to see real Andaluzia this is the right place. It is easy to comunicate the arrival, the house is clean, comfortable and beautiful. Better breakfast than any other hotel in Spain.
Located in the very center it was easy to get around. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions and things to do. The room was fresh and clean, it was very peaceful to sleep. Breakfast was good, we didn't miss anything.
Unique accommodation, having spent 9 nights in chain hotels, it made a pleasant change to be somewhere so individual. Our host was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. She deserves to do well.
I think this is the best hotel I have ever been, thanks not only to the wounderful room and location, but especially to the kindness and availability of the staff, exceptional!
Simple standard, but clean, close to city centre. The hotel manager was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable in this hotel. Very good vakue for the price.
