We would not really recommend Lagonisi as a destination for...
We would not really recommend Lagonisi as a destination for holiday. There is nothing there! Somehow the whole of the area seems like no one really takes any care of it. There is not public space to speak of, no thought into the design of public space, simply no urban planning or idea behind it. Perhaps it's because Greece has been in recession for so long. There is a lot of mess everywhere though. The restaurants are nice, food is tasty and cheap, the beach is fine too, but really there is nothing to see. You need to have a car and go to other places like Sounion, which is stunning or Athens. Just remember that driving in Greece is hell, they are all completely nuts and disregard all driving regulations including red lights. The only thing that counts is being fast. Noone drives according to the speed limits, noone.

This is a smart area of Athens on the coast.
This is a smart area of Athens on the coast. Other towns to the north and south seemed more resort like. There is a big dual carriageway separating the town from the beach. Further south the road gets smaller and beaches are further from the road. It was good base near airport and a place to visit Cape Sounion but doesn’t hit the right note between resort or close to Athens

Well located to go to the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion and good access to Athens airport. It is a more tranquil environment than Athens itself. We found a very good fish restaurant near the roundabout by the seafront.

The host Irene was very helpful and welcomed us with a bottle of wine, some fruit & other groceries to get us by at beginning of our visit. We felt so comfortable and very safe in this property! Convenient in every way from the location to the access to use washing machine to do laundry if needed. Irene the host was SUPER helpful in giving us recommendations on nearby beaches and restaurants. We absolutely will be back!

I found the Residence easily on Booking.com This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. It is appropriately priced. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic comms. You will get a video walkthrough on where to park, the entrance and the safe for picking up the keys. Bed was really comfortable. The village is an easy 15 minute walk downhill. Best part is you can get an Uber really quick for only €4 to come back up the hill. Great place, I will stay here again.

We were in town for a wedding at Grand Resort and we were walking distance to the resort . We highly recommend this property and so happy we stayed here . The kids (and us) loved the open space, the pool and of course the basketball court. The wifi was excellent. The host, Dimitri, was extremely friendly, and helpful. He help us with restaurant bookings, recommended places to visit and arranged transportation for us. A true sample of excellent hospitality! Highly recommend this property. Although set back from the main coast road, we could easily and safely walk to the nearest beach by turning right out of rear gate, right again and use the underpass to access beach. Has some nice restaurants nearby - Kyra Popi, Barba Giorgis both good seafood restaurants. To Klookl beach taverna and Bali Beach both good.

The owner studied interior design and it shows in the decor and furnishings which make the place feel even more luxurious. Great kitchen and common spaces and comfortable bedrooms. Check in and out was easy and Ketty was very flexible and communicative.
