Newly renovated (2023) guesthouse located in the summer paradise of Karlsudd just outside of Stockholm. A quiet area to relax neighboring with a large nature reserve, 300 meters to the beach, 8 minute drive to the charming town Vaxholm and a 40 minute drive into central Stockholm. Enjoy a peaceful stay out in nature whilst still having the rest of Stockholm and the archipelago a comfortable distance away.
We are available on the property if need be.
A private area on a peninsula with history dating back several hundred years has the last 100 years gone from being a holiday home paradise to now being the permanent home of some 50 families. The most important characteristics of the neighborhood is the proximity to both nature and water, and the peace and quiet - whilst still being close to town. We recommend guests having their own car, particularly when coming out. It is a ca 5 km walk from Vaxholm where busses go to Stockholm every 15-20 minutes. There is also a local bus to Vaxholm but it is infrequent. For travelling into Stockholm you can take a commuter boat both there and back which departs several times a day, and takes 1 hour.
