This is a beautiful building, beautifully finished all in wood. I'm assuming teak. There are large seating areas with an open balcony on both floors, so you can escape the heat of the day and read. The bedroom was a good enough size. Huge and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Good shower. Lovely touches like a welcoming rice and banana snack and a gift bag of lovely soap. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. There is a library, which has an amazing range of books about Thailand and Lanna culture. We found a good one on the Wat murals and a couple on textiles. The hotel is well placed in the middle of Nan. We had a car and parked in front of the hotel. Great place. I'd stay again.

Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.

My first trip to Nan and in fact Thailand. Absolutely incredible experience. Obvious areas were food, scenery in particular the mountain scenes.
The people of Nan were welcoming and very hospitable indeed...and came across as very genuine.
The culture and temples were amazing...visited many temples in Nan and also in Chiang Rai..
Amazing country and Nan is an area I will return to visit again.

Nan is a charming city, which we recommend to discover by bicycle. There are many beautiful temples and a river, which is nice to visit for the sunset. The general atmosphere is relaxed and the people are very nice. The city is not so touristy and you can find many authentic places to eat delicious local food.

I think the environment, the nature, the mountains are just the best part. Not to forget, the culture and the temples are more than worth visits. There are many coffee shops for you to choose from, both touristy and locals, like Erabica (quite fancy, but nice coffee), Huean Tang Tor (still in town of Nan, but further out, real nice place and coffees are from different part of Nan, really good), Kalasino (iron-plate meat grill with great Thai-French Wagyu beef thing... so good).
It was quite cold when we were there that weekend. We went to the night walking street, it was really nice, with local goods and food. Also authentic place for you to sit and eat.
We found it's better to rent a car to go around. You could explore more parts of Nan, into other districts as well.
There are a lot of culture in the city, but you need to get out to touch the nature. Otherwise, renting bicycle would be fine.

Wat Phumin was a big thing and the "whisperer painting" was all over the city. Highly recommend a day trip out to Bo Kleau salt wells and Pua. Enjoy the very local and non-touristy night market and live music at OTOP area.
My room in Antique Hotel Nan is bare bones basic, but it has some amenities to keep me comfortable, eg fridge, water heater, air con.
On the morning when I was supposed to take the domestic flight back to Bangkok, I couldn’t get a Grab to the Nan airport. In my smattering of Thai when I tried to relate my predicament to my guesthouse staff, one of the staff members just went to her scooter, nodded at me and motioned for me to get on! She refused my payment when I offered. I am so touched by the Northern Thailand hospitality!
PX122 is a beautifully decorated hotel with a perfect balance between bare cement and old furniture. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spacious with wide, comfortable mattresses and complete amenities. The place where we had breakfast was beautifully decorated, consisting of wooden tools and local fabrics. Our breakfast was freshly prepared, with dessert and fresh fruits. The PX122 is always the first place we think of when staying in NAN.
This is a true boutique hotel with classy wooden furnishings. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is well hidden from the main road but within 100m of the nightly market. There were very few tourists when I visited in May 2024 (in fact, I was the only one in the town!). The market has a wide selection of food choices. Many signs were only written in Thai script so it was difficult to understand what was being sold. I see this as a positive advantage!
The property offers accommodation in a distinctive local culture. I like the building built in shady gardens of city center and decorated with valuable local materials throughout. The team by Khun Suwaree warmly welcomes all guests with unique seasonal fruits such as fresh wampees that are only available in Nan, facilitate and take care them like her family, prepare a variety of breakfasts that are always pleasing to the guests.
Got the room with the mountain view villa with a view of the rice fields whilst my friend got the Mountain View bangalow. Definitely suggest the villa, which so worth the extra. Location is a bit outside Nan town centre so you’d probably need a car but it’s so tranquil. So lovely to walk alone the fields and sit by the table with a drink in hand viewing yeh sunset. Didn’t try the pool but should be great in summer months.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere in Nan and staying at this place was a great experience. The property is charming and only 5 minutes walk to Wat Phumin and 5 minutes the other way to the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much. Rooms are spartan but matched the simple homestay vibe that was so enjoyable. Hope to return.
The rooms are nice, clean, and have all you need. What made this place really shine for me, though, was the super nice host. He provides free bread and cookies, and was very helpful. I know where I am staying the next time I'm in Nan, to put it that way!
The owners were super friendly and the room was really nice! The matcha bar that’s part of the hotel was also super good - as was the free matcha tea with breakfast. We had such a lovely stay and would definitely stay again next time we’re there!
Beautiful wooden house not too far from Nan city centre.
2 separate bedrooms that were of a good size.
2 toilets one in main building and 1 under the sleeping area which had a beautiful kitchen also and seating area.
Hotel located very close to the extraction spot and all staffs have excellent hospitality and helpful. The most thing is the cleanliness that ou r family and I very appreciated.
- The owner is amazing: she was so nice and welcoming. Thank you!
- Very clean hotel
- Nice room, modern.
- Perfect location, 5 min walk to go to the night market.
