Very friendly staff: we arrived well before check-in time and were able to leave our luggage which we found later safely brought to our room (thank you!). The room is nice, with comfortable beds. The place is just over 15 minutes walk from the York Minster.

Cute and cozy room behind the pub. Excellent fast hot water. Complementary tea and cookies in the room. 1 block from the York Barbican.

Historic little inn, very centrally located for York's major attractions. Easy walking to Roman wall, Cathedral and the Shambles. Owner and staff very pleasant.

It is walking distance to the walled city of York. The room looked like it had been recently renovated. Very comfy and clean. Food and drink very reasonable and more than enough.

The pictures reflect what you get, I knew it wasn't going to be posh, is the typical English style hotel, perfect for few night, it has everything you need and I found all the staff super helpful and kind. So far the best place I have been in York. Getting in and out the gate is easy at any time you go back, breakfast was also really good I did have it included but it was discontinued because I was sleeping there and there was a very nice selection of food. It also has a parking that you can use which is York is very hard to find and the location is brilliant.
