Teen Ranch Kenya Is situated at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Kimana Amboseli and features a garden. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Teen ranch is an affordable, homely, rustic accommodation that will have you connecting with nature and relaxing in no time. The staff (Johnathan, Brian and Bernard) go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and at home😊 The rooms are basic but comfortable. The food is satisfying and well prepared by chef Themba, with soft drinks available for a nominal fee at the site The location with the view of Mount Kilimanjaro and 20 minutes from Amboseli game park is wonderful! Our kids went on nature’s walks with Brian, helped cook with Johnathan and loved playing basket ball with the kids that were visiting the camp site. We enjoyed being taken by Jonathan to see some of the town activities (market day and the cattle auctions) giving us a taste of the local Masai Kenyan community life😊. We came home with beautiful Masai blankets😁 It was a holiday we will remember for many many years!! Thanks for making our 14 day quarantine in Kenya from South Africa travelling to the UAE one to remember😊💖 PS we hired a car to travel to Teen Ranch and then to go to the park. We had a 4x2 and struggled on some of the park roads but managed...A 4x4 would have been better but pick up and safari drives can be arranged by the staff at Teen Ranch as well for an additional fee.

We were told that the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro can shy away from showing its magnificence. We were truly honoured to have seen the mountain early every morning and evening with an added bonus of a spectacular lightning storm on either side of the mountain on one of the evenings of our stay. This property borders Amboseli National Park and is in the conservancy area of the park. Photos of this property do not do it much justice. We were very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it all was on our arrival. It is perfectly placed, but a fair distance from the local town and main roads. You will need a 4X4 vehicle to get there, but it is well.worth the journey. Your neighbours are wild animals (some herded cattle, sheep, and goats)and critters of the Amboseli plains. The cottages replicate their surroundings indoors and outdoors with their exquisite furniture and unique artworks. The accommodation was absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable, and spacious with the most comfortable beds, prestine linen, and towels. The kitchen, dining, and living room were all very well equipped and comfortable. The cottages felt like a "Home Away From Home" with every detail taken into consideration. Credit needs to be given to the host Jane, who provided us with clear directions, to and from the property, and all the necessary information and guidance for our stay. With prior notice, Jane was also able to organise food supplies from small rural nearby stores for our stay. The onsite staff, Ester and Anne, were very welcoming, helpful, and maintained the standards of the property. Our first evening was rather entertaining and eventful when all the bugs and critters from the surrounding area decided to join us and dance around all the lights indoors and on the verandah. A mistake that was not repeated the following evening! Would we recommend these cottages for a stay in Amboseli rather than staying in a hotel or lodge in the National Park...YES, ABSOLUTELY!!!

THE HOSTS, the askari, and the guy looking after the property, both are very good people!! Location, the host, and the place are really all you need for a weekend away!!! you will see me AGAIN!!!
