Beautiful, charming, friendly: just a perfect stay. Mattress was too hard to my taste but I asked and they provided a topper and all was then perfect again.

Very nice hotel - we loved our stay and elected to have our evening meals there as great food, service, price and ambience. A little oasis where you can relax after sightseeing.

The room is very large and comfortable. They provide drinking water and toiletries. There's a TV but I didn't watch it so can't comment on the availability of channels. There's plenty of restaurants for good food, shops and atms nearby. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the bus offices. The tuk tuk driver who offers tours here is great and is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly.

The interior design was very impressive, with authentic Khmer furniture. The AC was strong and the extra fan helped the ventilation. Water temperature was pleasant. And they have 2 very cute small dogs.

A relatively untouched area of Cambodia, still retaining colonial charm. It lives in the past to some degree, and is the antithesis to the mish mash of Phnom Penh development.
The riverside is still the place to stroll or even exercise, and the surrounding countryside is lovely, with nice views from some of the higher locations.
I ate at the homes of Khmer friends, and we had driven up from PP, so getting around was as easy/difficult as any journey on overcrowded Cambodian roads!

Not one of the top travel spots yet.
Not one of the top travel spots yet. Battambang town doesn't stand out as anything special compared to other places in Cambodia. It doesn't really have anything special, and is very dusty all around.
However, it is ideal for a day trip (max 2 nights) from Siem Reap if you have time.
There are unique experiences that are on the outskirts of town :
1/ Bamboo Train (touristy but still good enough. especially if you can manage to beat the tourist vans in the morning, then it's just you on the train (train ride is about 15 mins each way)
2/ Killing Caves (get there at about 4-430pm, stay for about 30 mins)
3/Bat cave (super cool experience, stay there only for about 30 mins max in the evening

Gave a good feeling of real-life in Cambodia, away from the tourist crowds. The town has a fine old french colonade along the river. Very beautiful. The local market is worth a visit.
Highly interesting are the temples in the surroundings, ex the Banan temple. A visit to some of the commemoration sites also outside the town showing the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge in the nineteen seventies, is a must not to forget what happended.

I homestayed with the O'hamok family - incredible real Cambodian experience. We toured at my pace, I have never experienced this level of relaxation throughout my travels. I only wished I could speak Khmer and or French so that I could have contributed more to conversations but we got by easily with english.
With its very rich wooden architecture this hotel was in the perfect location for New Year’s Eve, as Battambang’s NYE party and fireworks was right outside. The rooftop restaurant is spectacular with a 360 degree view all over the city. My Tuk Tuk driver took me on a personal tour each day to see for example how sticky rice and rice wine was made. Fabulous breakfast options and you can eat by the pool! The staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10.
Battambang is an interesting town but very busy and noisy . Coming back to Battambang resort after a tour is like arriving in an oasis of tranquility.
The resort is set in a beautiful garden . The swimming pool is huge with plenty of sun beds to relax . Food is delicious and they use a lot of their own grown vegetables. Staff are so friendly, smiling and helpful.
I will strongly recommend Battambang Resort.
We had a very good stay at the Muni Residence. Very spacious rooms, lovely bed and everything insanely clean. There was even an oil scent dispenser and air humidifier in the room.
The owner speaks English very well and was very kind. He was able to arrange a lovely day long TukTuk tour around Battambang.
We loved the homemade desserts.
Would definitely recommend this hotel!
The person in charge, actually the only person that night (it was NY's eve, to be fair) was absolutely lovely. But she was THE ONLY one around and couldn't do everything. The room and facilities in general are lovely. Lovely decoration and design and a great swimming pool garden. They didn't offer anything for NY's eve, which seems a bit of a shame for a boutique hotel.
Saro ans his family are incredible hosts and we really enjoy our stay. The place is well situated, in a quiet place, not far from Battambang and close to several beautiful sites to visit.
Saro is really kind and can advise and arrange you some trip around his place to discover Cambodian countryside.
We hardly recommend his home and wish him the best for his project.
This is a lovely resort and we took 2 rooms with an extra bed added for 3rd child. The rooms are lovely and large and a nice bathroom, lovely veranda with some cooking facilities if needed and table and chairs. We did nt use the pool at this hotel but the one at the adjoining hotel, which was lovely with table tennis and a really nice lunch menu
The rooms are big and very comfortable with clean private bathrooms. The pool is fantastic and the menu/bar is great, you get a good serving of food for reasonable price. We stayed with our 3 small dogs and the staff were really nice, sometimes we have problems but not at the Blue Diamond. Highly recommend this hotel in Battambang.
Staff are super friendly and offer great information about what to do in Battambang.
All the facilities are clean and well maintained offering comfort, security and a social vibe all at a remarkably reasonable price.
Food and cocktails in the restaurant downstairs are some of the best I’ve had in Cambodia.
Thank you pomme.
Located in a lesser known part of the town the hotel was really a tropical corner. Beautiful garden but beware of mosquitoes.
The staff was friendly and even arranged for a taxi all the way from PP airport to Battambang at 00:00. And from Battambang to Siem Reap. They go out of their way to help their guests.
This is a unique hotel built in the 1930’s and furnished in period pieces, along with Art Deco highlights. It has AC, hot water, a nice restaurant and bar, and modern amenities but retains wooden shutters and large room keys. I also liked it for its new infinity edge pool.
absolutely delicious food - possibly the best we had for the whole of our stay in Cambodia.
The staff were fantastic - so helpful and kind. my husband was ill with a fever when we were there and they made him special teas and porridge. so kind.
good location in the city center and big and clean room (also we liked the fact that it’s a family hotel), it’s good value for money! we went on a day trip around Battambang with the hotel tuk tuk driver and it was super nice highly recommended
The hotel was very clean. The staffs were really friendly and accommodating. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable. Everything else was within an arms reach. There were many tasty restaurants close by.
Location perfect and the quality of everything far better than we expected for the price.
Beds a bit firm but still better than in many other hotels that cost triple the price
the hotel was a nice stay because it was quiet, had great a/c, hot water and a fairly comfortable bed. I enjoyed my stay here, but the staff was very unpleasant
Beautiful hotel in a peaceful but central location with exceptional staff. I stayed for 2 weeks on a work trip and it really felt like a home away from home.
