The host was very friendly and despite not speaking English she made every effort to communicate with us. Offered to take us out to show us where the local restaurant was. Very accommodating.
Lovely coffee with fresh bread for breakfast.
Value for money
Practically everything, a one night stay on the way to Ouistreham. Very comfortable bed and an excellent evening meal and more than ample breakfast.
A brilliant walk along the river only 5mins from the hotel
A budget hotel, yes, but have stayed in 4 star hotels with worse service.
A special thanks to Cici on reception, very welcoming and speaks good English. Would recommend to anyone leaving the ferry heading south or heading to the ferry going north. Plenty of free parking
A huge bedroom with big bathroom, very well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The evening meal was a choice of 2 set menus because it was 14th July (a national holiday). The price was reasonable and the food was delicious. The roses around the outside of the building were gorgeous. The hotel is very central, being right at the end of one of the two bridges, very easy to find, and close to interesting medieval buildings.
This hotel is a secret oasis of calm and well-being right in the centre of bustling Mayenne town. It is perfectly placed for access to all the restaurants, bars and the historic chateau with private parking and excellent views over the river.
The breakfast was very good and served in a light and airy room.
What a find!
the staff in this hotel were brilliant, helping non-french speaking Brits understand everything. The food was wonderful, even for set menus (which initially concerned me) Exceptional service from the owner of the property.
The rooms were comfortable - but the outstanding feature of this hotel is its restaurant. Not only was the food and service excellent, so too was the surprisingly low cost. Definitely worth an overnight stay.
The location is ideal, in the middle of the town with safe off street parking, within the grounds of the hotel. The property has historic interest and the rooms reflect this. Highly recommended
Robert the host is awesome, friendly and welcoming. The residence is stunning - an interior designer's dream. Central to all Mayenne amenities and shops.
