The place is very museum-like, little treasures everywhere. It smells very nice on the hallway. The whole place is sparkling clean and the staff very nice. Also location is very close to train station and 15 min walk to town center. We had breakfast booked, and menu was very diverse (could choose from a menu of irish breakfast, french toast, eggs, porrodge etc), the kitchen staff more than nice and acomodating.

A town not too far from Dublin airport and within easy distance to Co Tyrone ,Northern Ireland. The locals very very friendly and the local pubs were traditional , well at least the ones I went into. YES the Guinness does taste different to the British variety .Ireland in common with most places these days is not a cheap place ,indeed the price of property is on par with England as opposed to a few years when it was dirt cheap.
Roads generally in good repair , the main ones , the side roads can be problematic.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, with advice (local taxi's who were very reliable & fair priced)
Wilst preparing for an event a 'sticky' garment cleaner was required; again reception were able to help. I cannot fault the staff for their help & advice. A real credit to the hotel.

Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay.
Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the spa treatment called ‘the pick n mix’. The lady who gave us Indian head massages and leg and foot massages was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was fabulous with beautiful views surrounding the dining area. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It is a very welcoming hotel. Our only minor disappointment was the big, hard pillows. I didn’t sleep very well. In saying that, we would come back !
the location worked well for us and this was one of the only hotels available (now I know why). I was not expecting much and even at that this was below my expectations. I will say that the breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh - although we finished our entire meal with no coffee because we couldn't get any staff to wait on us. I even got up and approached people to ask someone to bring coffee to our table but they were too busy trying to take care of other things to deliver anything before we were finished eating.
We had a very pleasant stay at Rock House. The beds are on par with any high end hotel in terms of comfort, it’s calm, clean and quiet and just a short but nice walk from Carrick town centre. The owners were absolutely great, friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was amazing too! I will definitely stay here again any time I’m visiting the area.
The double bedroom was spacious and the black out curtains were great. Lovely views from the room and it was comfortable. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were very professional. The pool was spacious and warm. Lots of covid 19 regulations in place which is nice to see. Affordable hotel and nice for a night away.
The staff were so lovely and the rooms very very clean and spacious. The hotel itself was lovely and the grounds were beautiful especially in the evening if the weather was nice you could sit outside while the sun set. Beautiful views.
Lovely country house hotel. Room spacious but perhaps decor just a little tired. Staff lovely, couldn’t do enough for you so this more than made up for any ‘tired’ decor! Wonderful stay and will return.
Breakfast, staff everything was above and beyond my expectations. Ireland will always be a wonderful place to me, I left it 50 years ago to see the world and I still call it home.
Love the ambience of hotel and love food . Staff are very friendly and look after us very well. Porridge is best i have ever tasted definitly be back soon 🙂🙂🙂
Pauline was a fantastic host. The room was perfect and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. It's just a short walk to the centre of Carrickmacross.
We dined in the hotel throughout our mini break and found the food to be of a high quality and delicious.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
