We really liked the equipment with food products, which were a pleasant surprise for us. We were greeted by a pleasant smell upon entering the house. Beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet. Electric fireplace makes evening very cozy. I highly recommend it and we will definitely come back.
In a tranquil setting, this country farmhouse offers homely en suite rooms, and is surrounded by woodland and 2 forts. Fortview House is 6 miles from Cavan town.

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

We didn't see much as we were there for christening.
We didn't see much as we were there for christening. However beautiful setting . Everything seemed so far away from each other . There is a little town which seemed nice. It is at least an hour and half drive from Dublin. We needed a taxi to get from hotel to Dublin to fly home which cost €280.00 so you need to be aware of that if your not driving yourself. Every person we met or spoke to were so friendly .

We were really surprised at how much there is to do in Cavan.
Lakes and trails a plenty and it’s very easy to head out to neighbouring counties too!
We found the restaurants we eat in to be of a really high standard.
A great little spot hosted by the brilliant Bridie and Mary!
We were in the area for a wedding in the nearby hotel in farham estate and came across Drunlanaught cottage and were so glad we did.
Everything that we done from initial communication to when we were leaving our two hosts couldn’t have done enough for us.
Location was brilliant - approx 5 mins drive from Cavan town and 2mins from Farnham estate
The cottage itself - is modern, very comfy and is great value for money!
The property was lovely and cosy and perfect for a quiet get away. The hosts Betty & Fergus could not have been more friendly. Upon arrival eggs, milk & wheaten bread were already sitting in the apartment. Our dog especially enjoyed his time as he made friends with Betty and Fergus’ dog Heidi. Not too far from Cavan town and brilliant location for lots of different walks. Definitely would recommend and hope one day to return.
We had a warm welcome and enjoyed our weekend stay in Toddy's Cottage. It's a lovely cottage just outside town with all the amenities we ever wanted for a weekend stop-over. The cottage has been refurbished properly and everything is clean and tidy. The cottage is located in a green setting and a calm corner of the country. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
Greets from Belgium & Dublin.
The Lacken Millhouse is a beautiful (almost ) 200 year old building surrounded in the picturesque Cavan countryside, a short drive from the town center. The grounds a perfectly kept and the facilities are great. Helen was a lovely host. She organised taxi numbers, gave us suggestions of where to go and visit. Finally the breakfast was great... We will definitely be back!
Farnham Estate is a hidden gem just outside of Cavan town.
From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly.
There is a courtesy bus available to take you from the car park to the front door.
The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was exceptionally good.
Orla's cottage was really lovely, extremely comfortable and with great facilities. It's in a beautiful quiet location, but it's also only a short drive away from the nearest town, and from some great places to visit and explore.
Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!
A newly renovated apartment in the countryside of Cavan. This apartment has everything you need for a relaxing break away. Only distance from Cavan Town and surrounding amenities. Highly recommended
The accomodation was spotless and very spacious. It was a 5 min walk to the hotel where we had full use of the facilities. Extremely good value for money and we had our own space to chill out.
Beautiful cottage located a short distance from Cavan Town. Located in beautiful location. Thus cottage is an absolute gem. I would highly recommend for a weekend or staycation.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and made to order. The hotel was very central to the town and the car park was very handy too!
