Coe Pod, West Highland Way Holidays, hotel in Kinlochleven

Offering a garden and river view, Coe Pod, West Highland Way Holidays is located in Kinlochleven, 36 km from Glen Nevis and 12 km from Massacre of Glencoe.

Lovely little pod, we enjoyed our stay here more than the posh Kingshouse Hotel. Lots of tea provided as well as a fridge, microwave and utensils. So with the Co-Op just down the road it was ideal. Great location if you are passing as past of your West Highland Way adventures. Would recommend and we hope to stay again.

Highland Getaway, hotel in Kinlochleven

Offering a restaurant, Highland Getaway is located in Kinlochleven. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a seating area. There is also an electric kettle.

I had a room on the ground floor with direct access to the garden, in which I was on my own, on a beautiful day, so that was wonderful. From the garden there was a view of the river and mountains and a beautiful sunset. Check-in was quick and friendly and facilities were good. The room was comfortable and cozy, it was nice and quiet too. The food in the pub was very good en good value for money, definitely recommend.

    The place was extremely nice.

The place was extremely nice. You could take this place for staycation. Thé location was also nice and quiet with mountain view and riverside activities. The house could accommodate 4 people. It was neat and clean and had all the required amenities in it. But there is only very few shops nearby.

Nice stopover for WHW walkers with co-op for shopping and a nice pub serving good food, The Tailrace Inn, all in easy walking distance. Easy scenic bus service to Fort William for those who are blistered or knee-wracked or just plain tired.

Lovely quiet place, an ideal launching point to climb the Mamore hills, or else a short drive over to Glen Coe or Glen Nevis. Some other pretty local walks, although be aware all of them involve an uphill slog of 200-300 metres early on.

After a very long walk in to Kinlochleven a visit to the pub, the Tailrace Inn, was in order prior to going to the campsite. Very friendly. The town seemed very nice with good facilities, amenities and surrounded by mountains. Big hike out the following morning toward Fort William on the WHW.

Lovely little place with simple but delicious restaurant options. It’s directly on the West Highland Trail so hiking is easy right from your front door. There are other trails and if you catch the weather there are some good spots in the river for swimming. As if that wasn’t enough this town is nestled into the highlands and surrounded by stunning views while you’re here and while you’re driving to it. It’s worth visiting more than once!

There is nothing to like about at this place. The toilets were practically unusable, showers were dirty. We booked for 2 nights we decided not to shower for 2 days and we had to look for near by public toilets. I must stress that the public toilets close by were 20 times much cleaner than the facilities provided by the hotel. The shared kitchen was so small that not more than 2-3 people can fit in there. There were so many mosquitos there that we got mosquito bites all over our face, neck and hands.

We are a party of 6, with 4 walking the West Highland Way Due to covid We wanted to be organised and ensure everything was in place and phoned to speak with the hotel a few weeks before arriving for restaurant recommendations The staff were wonderful.and we’re recommended a lovely eating place - The Highland Getaway (a lovely evening meal) . Very welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. The Scottish breakfast was amazing, extra tea / coffee / toast as required. Will definitely return

When we arrived we walked into the pub area and was greeted by the lady who worked behind the bar ( sorry i didnt get her name ) she was so lovely and made us feel welcome after a wet 9 mile walk from Kings House Hotel, We ordered drinks and home made mince and tatties while we waited for our room. Our room was clean and cosey with a comfy bed and an ensuite toilet and shower. In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before heading out to Fort William.

Kinlochleven is seven miles away from the busy A82 which makes it a nice quiet place to stay. The nearby Co-op is very handy especially as I forgot to take a couple of things with me. Self-catering meant I could have an early breakfast before a long day out. In early June you usually gets get woken up by a song thrush singing it's little heart out around 4.30am ! I got the impression the apartment is part of what was once a school

The location was great. Kinlochleven is a quaint mountain town and we are glad we chose to stay there. The property was well decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, great hot tub, wonderful view, and everyone in our family loved it! lots of room to spread out. I would recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful getaway in Scotland. Wish we would have stayed longer!

This is the best place to stay in Kinlochleven if you want good food, location, facilities and a genuinely friendly host. Jenni was immediately responsive to all our needs, with great communication well before arrival to ensure a smooth arrival and comfortable stay. Take the evening meal option if offered, Jenni’s highland portions are delicious and highly recommended.

Very well equipped kitchen and dining room. Decent shower in the room and bunk beds were comfy. Nice location to explore Kinlochleven - the walk up to the Grey Mare's Tail is well worth doing. There wasn't a lockable shed, but the staff kindly let me store my bike indoors. I'm sure it would have been safe outside anyway.

Great location near Grey Mares waterfall; spacious for our family of four; nice little den area that was well stocked with movies, books, games and breakfast items. Not far from activities in Glencoe. Great communication from the host as well! Would definitely stay longer than one night the next time we visit the area!

Alt Na Levin was exceptionally well presented, freshly decorated, modern and spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu was fit for a 5star hotel with a very wide range of choices including kippers! The hosts were attentive and helpful. Overall it was excellent all round
