The hosts were amazing, they helped a lot before,
During and after my stay. They answered nearly immediately and even organized a gas cylinder for my backpacking trip (because I arrived Saturday evening after closing hours of the local stores). The room was really nice, clean and had everything I needed! Thanks again for having me!

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited...
I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

Skyelight Apartment is at a great location, very near to Portree town centre, maybe 1-minute walk. Nicely furnished, warm and cozy. Note though there is no washing machine. Otherwise, a wonderful accommodation.

Very touristy not quite what we’d expected restaurants we sampled not as good as on the highlands NC500 so for us I wouldn’t do Skye in favour of the Highlands I’d spend longer on the NC500 west side.

We loved Rockview.
We loved Rockview. The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular. We could easily walk To the town of Portree to eat and shop! Location was perfect to sightsee . The owners were so helpful and nice! Would highly recommend Rockview!

Very close to the sights we wanted to see in Isle of Skye. The beds were comfy. The living area accommodated all five of us when we needed to relax from our hiking. The kitchen was perfect for us. The included breakfast was great offering a variety of options and even a "full Scottish" to fuel your highland adventures. The view is quite pretty out over the water and to the mountains, and the staff were all very nice and accommodating. The room was comfortable and very spacious (though were were lucky to get upgraded). I will be happy to stay here again the next time I'm in Portree.

We wanted to explore the local hike to Portree which one portion of the trail followed the coastline. Sunny day but we had the trail all to ourselves. Was a lovely evening to sit and watch the world go by while having a drink. Room looked recently refurbished. Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Thanks to the lady serving our breakfast. We took up her suggestion of visiting Neist Point. A good walk to see the lighthouse. (Not so nice back up the hill. But we were warned) 😁

Bedroom was HUGE with comfy beds, a very good shower and a view of the harbour. Location was right in the centre of Portree with free parking available. The breakfast was amazing and there was also a gluten-free/veggie menu! We strongly recommend staying at Caledonian!
