Friendly staff and atmosphere. Lovely, luxurious room with bath and balcony. We were also able to borrow umbrellas which were sadly needed on the first day. Great location and access to wonderful Vectis bus service. Many thanks. We'll definitely be back!

Located in the heart of the village short walking distance to the beach with cristal-clear water.
A local restaurant on the way to the cost treated us to a delicious meal.
Tesco Express is round the corner, too.
Very cosy cottage with prestigeous look, unique layout and private parking.
Communication with the locely owner was flawless and we really enjoyed being there, even if if that was only for one night!

Superb view. Great facilities - everything catered for from shower to kitchen to lounge to bedroom. Having a dedicated offroad parking space was useful. Even better was discovering a superfast electric car charger just around the corner.

Lovely town on a steep hillside, with a sandy beach at the bottom. Really lovely food at the pub The Spyglass. Botanical Gardens are wonderful, cliff walk lovely in both directions, and a great walk up on to the downs from where you can see the whole Island. Lots of dining options. Super beach areas. Attractive landscaping. Ventnor has some very steep areas but negotiable with time. Taxi services practically non-existent - suggest pre book as far as possible before arrival. .

Really loved the town, wasn't too big.
Really loved the town, wasn't too big. Had shops to cater for all you would need. Very clean. Every where we went the people always welcoming and so friendly. Lots of great walks on your doorstep whether it is along the coast or across the downs. Or there is a great bus service that can take you to the popular attractions. Eating out there were all manner of food you could enjoy. Also at all price levels to suit your budget. Have to say our absolute favourite place to eat based on price and quality was The Bistro. Has extremely steep hills to get down to the esplanade so would require you to drive if you had any mobility issues. Would highly recommend.

Ventnor has lots to recommend it when taken individually - a variety of bars, cafes restaurants and pubs, a couple of mini supermarkets, a lot of quirky independent shops and antique shops, car parking, kids play areas, beach and some walkable attractions. The difficulty is the roads linking the downs, town and beach and all very steep, narrow and winding which made us think twice about getting the car out sometimes.MikeUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Still a bit run down,but the Town is on the Up.Lovely Beach and Esplanade The Town still harbours a few Alkies and Drug users,but they seem to appear to be on the Decline.Ventnor is very Hilly so be warned.The Spyglass is the best pub in Ventnor

It's a really lovely hotel, spacious and comfortable, good quality fan in the room, enormous bathroom with endless hot water (and the drinking water from the tap for some reason tastes like evian?!) Amazing view from the bar terrace and brilliant location just above the beach. It's a really steep walk up but we were used to that. Darren did a great job - all mod cons, even usb phone charging slots next to the bed - and a few breakfast nibbles thrown in. (There's also a great breakfast place on the beach 10 mins walk from the flat) Best value stay we've had in years on Booking.com. He helped us rent ebikes, and dropped in to see if all was well. Strongly recommended!

Beautiful park opposite which links to Ventnor beach front. A leisurely walk over the hill in the park greets one with a stunning view of the sea and the walk through the trees is lovely.
