We love visiting Radium. It's small, quaint and scenic.
We love visiting Radium. It's small, quaint and scenic. It's typically a one night stop as we drive from Alberta to BC to visit family, but it's one we truly enjoy. Our last trip allowed us to find a quaint little hotel, Inn on Canyon, that is a hidden gem. A budget friendly place with a warm welcome and wow! It was so clean and fresh smelling, not fake or chemically induced - just clean and fresh. If you get a chance to eat at Helna's Stube, you're in for a treat if you love German food (schnitzel!!) and you can't beat a stop at Screamers Ice Cream on a hot day (or, even a cold one if you love ice cream).

We went in the winter months, so it wasn't busy.
We went in the winter months, so it wasn't busy. Which was great! Staff was really friendly and walked around the pool for safety. It was relaxing and we loved looking at the mountains. It is right off the highway, so careful going in and out of the parking lot. There was one man who kept chatting up the single women which was creepy, but staff kept an eye on him.

Radium is a great little village that I have stayed a number of times over the years. It is close enough to places like Banff and Lake Louise to make day trips to but avoid the inflated hotel prices. Plus they have a ton of their own great attractions in both summer and winter.

Great little town with good restaurants and coffee shops.
Great little town with good restaurants and coffee shops. Amazing wildlife - big horned sheep- wandering around town. Close to natural hot springs , hikes, lake Windermere and panorama ski resort. The visitors centre is perfect for all the information on how to get to the natural hot springs , and hike the hoodoos rock formations. Hot springs in town are perfect at dark . Wolf sanctuary is a 1 hour drive north and well worth the visit. 🐺

I fell in love with the view which isn’t accessible at any of the other hotels in town. I loved how it was so remote and my dog has lots of places to play and explore. the staff was incredible and super sweet. breakfast was amazing. the appliances in the room were great. beds were super comfortable, the pillows are to die for. loved the fireplace and heaters. the shower has great pressure and the hot watch doesn’t run out. I could go on and on, oh wait the balcony😍
Highly recommended place to stay, 3 minutes drive to Radium Hot Springs, Clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast included and we enjoyed the hot waffles every morning. The parking was just in front of our room. The owners Donna and Tony were excellent host's. They make sure , we got everything we need. They are super friendly and gave time to have conversation with every guests. It feels like home away from home. We will definitely come back...😊
Danielle was very nice at the phone and in person. Upgraded my room and forgot to changed me for the pet So I made sure we cleaned the room before we left. Room size was great, bigger than banff hotels. Also has nice area for dogs to pee, they have outdoor leash. Can bbq on summer. Really nice place although looking old. Thanks to the staff. No decaf coffee but they gave us extra tea and hot chocolate for my son.
Very welcoming hosts, lovely home cooked breakfasts. The house is stunning, very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Our en-suite room also had a lovely outside patio which was an excellent place to relax in the evening. Close to the nice small town of Radium Hot Springs, it’s ideally situated for travel to Yoho, Kootenay & Banff national parks. Highly recommended!
This is a great little property with easy access to the Columbia valley. All of Radium is within walking distance and the Hot Springs pools are just a short drive or a little hike away. Like that it has “Pet friendly” written into the room descriptions so you know exactly what you’re booking if you have or do not have a pet travelling with you.
The hotel host was very inviting and personable. He took us to our room and told us where to park upon arrival. The location was central and scenic. Plus, the room offered that rustic charm from the '60s. Everything was clean, hot showers, and coffee to make it in the morning with cream. Overall, very charming and dog-friendly to boot.
The staff at the property went well above and beyond for us, the outdoor barbeque area was amazing we sat out there and enjoyed a fire did a barbeque for supper, Very clean never had that kind of experience at a hotel before. Great place for a weekend get away, we will be going back again.
The location was fine, however, the room was freezing cold when we arrived and the room had dead and live bugs all over the place (we counted 15). We left and go a refund and stayed elsewhere. I think this hotel doesn’t have many customers as no one else was staying at the Motel.
Destination Inn is a pretty charming hotel. It is very neat and clean. The room is decorated very nicely. We stayed there only one night, and we overall enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fine, not amazing, but provided a good start of the day.
the hotel is upgraded with renovations that we found out was done 4 years ago, but looks very fresh
the hotel restaurant is very good - the breakfast came quickly and we were able to head out fast.
The owner was very nice and accomodating. Very comfy bed. Awesome shower. The whole stay was great. I sure gonna recommend the place and would stay again on our next trip to Radium Hot Springs.
The views were spectacular from our balcony that was structurally sound. Very pet friendly. We enjoyed our nightly walk up and down the hill:) it was good exercise.
The lodge has a nice view over Radium Hot Springs. Our room was very spacious, and fast Internet as well as Netflix is available. The bathrooms were new and clean.
