Mendocino offers amazing easy but very scenic hiking.

Mendocino offers amazing easy but very scenic hiking. Restaurants are good. The trip on the way in or out is very scenic independently from the road you choose. Always a good overnight stay option when traveling around the region.

    Great little town. Wonderful restaurants.

Great little town. Wonderful restaurants. Grocery store, if you're shopping for yourself. I loved Cafe Beaujolais. I enjoyed Macallan. These are upscale. I had wonderful cioppino at Flow. Lots of trails nearby. Mendocino Headlands and other state parks.

Loved this little piece of Heaven tucked into the gorgeous California coast. Small town ...but it has heart. lots of old character homes and heritage buildings. Don't forget to check out the pubs ..super friendly staff and yummy foods and local beers. The bakery is a must if you're looking to expand your waist line. Really enjoyed this little town...captured the essence of that coastal feeling.

    Mendocino is authentic and picturesque.

Mendocino is authentic and picturesque. It is very small and you can easily walk through the whole town in an hour! The shops are cute and there are many beautiful items to choose from if you like shopping. The people are warm and friendly. It is extremely foggy in the morning until about 10 AM and it rolls back in around 4 or 5 PM.

Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants...

Nice quaint little town of a few shops and restaurants period. Don't get confused but the glass beach is not what it was 30 and 40 years ago, In fact most maps don't even list glass beaches anymore and the one North at Fort Bragg is very limited in glass. Too many people took glass home over the years and time/nature led to the ending of glass beaches. Also the practice of dumping garbage and glass bottles in the ocean is not Environmentally friendly.

Perfect location: just a 7-minute drive to the coast and you cannot beat being tucked away in the Redwoods by night. Super cozy: The bed was incredibly comfortable and even had different pillows to choose from. The house was super clean and had all the amenities you could ask for, for the six days we spent in Mendocino. It truly felt like a home away from home for us. You can tell the owners really gave careful attention to curate a cozy and inviting space. It was truly a treat to come home to this place after a long day of exploring the area.

The property is conveniently located very near to the shops & main streets of Mendocino but just outside the town per se, with fabulous views of the ocean and beautifully landscaped gardens. Check-in instructions were thorough and we were able to self-check in. We liked the keyless keypad entry, the round-the-clock coffee and tea availability, and quiet and well-spaced-out suites. We particularly enjoyed spending time enjoying the views from the room’s deck.

The Headlands Inn B&B is fantastic! We had a great welcome from the owner who showed us around. The room was wonderful. It’s the sort of room you walk in to that then wraps itself around you and gives you a hug. So comfortable. We were on the ground floor but still had a great view over the garden to the sea. Mendocino is a beautiful town but almost didn’t want to leave the room. Topping it off was the beautifully presented breakfast delivered to your room.

The Blue Door Inns Good bed, bad breakfast. The Blue Door Inns occupies two or more old Victorian Houses centrally located in Mendocino. We stayed at room number six on the second floor of the house at Ukiah Street. The room was very nice. Windows on the two walls facing the coast gave us a sweeping view of the ocean beyond the roofs of the buildings of the city. The gas fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere, and the bed was soft and comfortable.

I really enjoyed my one night at this hotel, and wish that I had stayed here longer. I love that we had a private balcony. The bed was so comfortable too. The room was huge, which was great for my toddler to run in. The lady at the front desk was amazing too! She gave my son a great and was overall incredibly friendly and helpful. She really went above and beyond to make our stay really comfortable.

The location was perfect to walk around Mendocino. The breakfast consisted of delicious muffins and coffee brought to our room. The room had dirty, stained carpets. The bathroom floor was rotted and an old board was placed to cover a large hole in the floor. The shower door was missing hardware and was in very poor condition.

Very comfortable, with a total of 11 rooms at the inn, it felt very relaxing and like being at home. The morning breakfast was excellent and the light meal during the wine hour was perfect. Everyone of the staff had a great attitude and were helpful and warm. The Inn is a little gem just south of the town of Mendocino.

It was very convenient. It is not in the narrow congested streets in the middle of the village. It is on the main east/west road at the south side of town. Very convenient to everything. The room was small but adequate and the best price available compared to other central hotel rooms.

A beautiful old hotel which was full of character. All the fittings e.g. the plumbing worked just fine despite their vintage feel. The morning coffee provided in the reception area was good. The location was spectacular. Unfortunately the Restaurant had been closed for some time.

If we’d stayed there it would probably have been quite lovely! However, prior to our arrival we were told the property had closed down and we were being booked into the Mendocino Hotel instead, which was fine as wedding stayed there before.
