Fantastic rooms, cosy, comfortable (very comfortable bed) and done with exceptional esprit. A unique experience. We actually looked forward to be back in the room after we finished our hiking tours.

We enjoyed the location. We like the extra things that was provided. For example; the cooler, beach mat, googles etc.
The surrounding landscape is very nice and cute.

We arrived after sunset and therefore could not assess the full scope of the property at arrival, but just arrived at our cozy cabin and could chill out in the outside Japanese tub, then fall asleep to the sound of the wildlife sounds. When we got up in the morning, we were greeted by a full blown rainforest. While I knew from pictures what it could look like, the real thing was more than stunning and a great experience.
Hawaii Volcano National Park is 10 miles from this holiday home. Overlooking the tall Fern Forest jungles, guests can enjoy a fully equipped communal kitchen and hot tub.

The room was great; loved the atmosphere and comfort. Also, the Thai restaurant right down the street was exceptional. The proximity to Volcanoes National Park was also great. I would stay there again.
Located 1 mile from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, this Volcano historical lodge features a hot tub. Lava viewing at Halema'uma'u Crater is 4 miles away.

Amazing little boutique hotel in the rain forest. It was quaint but well cared for. Great option to allow you to spend a full day exploring Volcanoes National Park and then have an early start on the drive to Kona (so you can stop for lots of adventures along the way). We loved our stay.

Excellent choice for a Volcano stay, right outside the park. Owners were kind, helpful and accommodating. Our plans changed at the last minute and they went out of their way to make sure that we were still able to stay and enjoy.

The green, beautiful lush forest-like atmosphere in Volcano was so breathtaking! It was peaceful and quiet (except at night) you could hear the little frogs (koki frogs) nonstop but you eventually rest and they fade as you get closer to sleep.
Even driving feels awesome!

The park was very crowded around dusk.
The park was very crowded around dusk. There were lots of cars and few places to park. It might not be that way if the volcano had not been erupting. Because of previous eruptions, part of the rim road was blocked making fewer places to actually view the caldera. Make a reservation at one of the 2 restaurants at the Volcano House for dinner around sunset for the best views. Take a sweater or sweatshirt. The wind was chilly in June. We ate at the Rim restaurant. The food was very good. Expect to pay over $35 per person without cocktails. We were dressed for a nice restaurant and were disappointed that so many people were so very casual. But, it is vacation and Hawaii.

The volcano itself was absolutely incredible. Doesn't matter how old you are, it's just one of those things that fascinates and draws you in. Must see for anyone who has the opportunity since you never know when it will shut down.

Volcano National Park is amazing!
Volcano National Park is amazing! I would plan to spend at least a day and a half there if you are visiting Big Island. There is so much to do - the highlights include hiking across a crater and visiting during the dark (after sunset or before sunrise) to see the eruption!

Although our accommodation here was nothing amazing, the location cannot be left out of your big island itinerary! I wish someone had have told us to visit the National Park after sunset (or at sunrise) before our final day here!! That would be my top tip to people staying in this area. It would have been great to see the glowing lava.

Got to see the crater smoking with hot lava, but the weather was cool and misty/foggy, so no "orange glow." The place was packed with tourists, even so. Parking lots overflowed. We enjoyed most the early morning (6am) walk to the eruption site: very few people. Many nene sitings. The Volcano House restaurant has a less-expensive sister, the Rim restaurant, right next door. Good food, great views, but like everywhere on the Island, trés expensive. Next time I would bring more money!
The location is excellent - near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and very close to Volcano Village where there are various restaurants. The hosts were very friendly. There was a microwave, coffee maker, and small refrigerator.
Breakfast was continental and consisted of juice, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. They also provided some instant oatmeal, granola bars, and ramen noodles.
I’m not sure if it was the personal touches, daily fridge and cake stock ups, wonderful hosts, perfect climate, impeccable cleanliness, handy location for volcano park or the tranquillity and privacy, but this was hands down the best place I have ever stayed (and I’m pretty well travelled). Cannot recommend highly enough!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aloha Junction. The entire place was spotless, the room we had was very comfortable, and the staff was really great. The location was so close to Volcano National Park which made it very easy for us to spend two delightful days there. It was a fabulous place! We will be back for sure.
Good location (very close to Volcanos National Park), relatively affordable for area. Kitchen is fully furnished. Lack of air conditioning for property is unlikely to be a problem at that location. Pheasants live in the wooded area behind the house's backyard and can be seen most mornings and evenings.
I loved everything about this cottage and location. Even with the constant rain it was still an amazing experience (it did stop raining the day we left!)
There are so many added comforts that really made it a special stay. If we are ever back in Hawaii would love to visit your cottages again!
The room and facilities were excellent. The layout and supply of services and facilities was well thought out and outstanding. The national park and village are a short drive from the guest house and we looked forward to coming back to the guest house for a rest at the end of the day.
Location was absolutely perfect for traveling to the volcano. Easy and clear instructions from the host. The no contact check in was wonderful as we were super tired from the trip. Loved the garden oasis, parking was easy, and very close to the main road.
Very quaint, need tidy hotel with a cottage like vibe. Our room overlooked a koi pond with beautiful trees and flowers. All the essentials were there and it was a quiet location. If you're looking for something local, this is your place.

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to visit the volcano np - just a five minute drive and its in a really a quiet place.
The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. The downside of our stay see below..
Wonderful kitchen and dinnerware. Enjoyed cozy feel of furnishings, including Runtel towel warmer (we use them in our house, inspired by first Volcano stay years ago) Nice to have 2 luggage racks instead of one. Lots of hangers!
The location and the ambiance. Away from the big hotel tourist crowds. Quiet, lush and 5 minutes from Volcano National Park entrance! Small fun restaurants and general store ver close. Owner was so nice!
Very close to the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, with heat in case of bad weather. Extra blankets available, big variety of herbs provided, collection of shampoo etc. most probably from prior visitors
Very cozy, comfortable and the pictures don't do it justice. Hot tub was perfect after hiking at Volcanoes National Park. Kitchen well stocked for our BBQ dinners on the lanai.
Beautiful property in Volcano Village next to the National Park entrance. Room is cozy and kept clean. Restaurant serves delicious local cuisine with super reasonable prices.
A nice secluded quiet place almost in the rainforest yet very close to Kilauea Volcano entrance.. the 1912 home was intact and very nice upstairs.. no host check in and out.
Whole house was amazing. Very quiet, perfect location for visiting Volcanoes National Park, and all the amenities you could need. Fireplace and spa were awesome.
