The Waimes Area of villages near to the Hautes Fagnes is...
The Waimes Area of villages near to the Hautes Fagnes is okay but we prefer the other side of the border; Eifel. The villages are nicer and the facilities better (shops, supermarkets, points of interests) We had a lot of snow so the Hautes Fagnes were beautiful! In Spring or autumn we would prefer the Eifel for a better landscape withmore diversity and valleys, mountains. A combination is perfect.

Good bedding. Awesome breakfast. We wouldn't have come here had we known we had to share the toilet and the bathroom with other guests!!! We were there because we had a private anniversary in the area, so we didn't try out any of the local restaurants. We used Waze to travel around in the area. Waze works perfectly.

WAIMES is situated in the center of a very beautifull region, close to the Vennbahn and RAVel cycling roads giving acces to GERMANY and LUXEMBURG by bike and close to BARAQUE MICHEL, BOTRANGE, BUTGENBACH and ROBERTVILLE lakes, ... for people/families liking nature walks/tracking. Close to the cities MALMEDY, EUPEN and SANKT-VITH.

There is an available free car park at the hotel, just park your car - and you can explore around by foot. It has a nice restaurant where you can have lovely warm meals for lunch and dinner. I tried the leg of lamb and stone steak. both were delicious. Nice breakfast that's included. The hotel staff were extremely nice and welcoming to me and my dog. We were in Waimes for the Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps; only a 20 or 25 minute to get to the circuit (took much longer to get back but the traffic management was v poor).
