We loved the apartment and the beautiful view of the lake. They had a pool my husband swam in and wonderful yard chairs to sit, rest and enjoy the surroundings. Also, the private parking was a reall plus, and walking distance to a grocery store and restaurant.

The room had a stunning view of the lake and was spacious and well-furnished. It also had a balcony overlooking the lake and beautiful manicured grounds. The bathroom was luxurious, with fluffy towels, a Frette robe, and lovely soap and lotion. The balcony had a small table and chairs for guests to enjoy the view. The breakfast was a traditional Italian meal, served formally, and any special requests were accommodated. The restaurant for dinner was exceptional and intimate, with a gourmet dining experience, a lovely wine list a knowledgeable Sommelier, and expertly served. This family-run hotel is well-managed, with friendly and accommodating staff, and the Family is charming. The location is outstanding. It was the perfect way to end our vacation.

We only had one nights stay at the hotel as a stopover coming from france travelling down through Italy, however it was exactly what we expected and more. A really lovely location with a great aspect, Monte Bianco was viewable from our room balcony. it was very clean and the staff were helpful. the food was nice, however i would of liked to seen an itemised bill for our food, when we checked out. On retrospect i'm not sure if i was overcharged slightly for our dinner. If that was the case its partly my fault for not enquiring further. Having said this we would definitely return if we took this route again. Peaceful and enjoyable stay with clean nice rooms.

Very good welcome from the two brothers who run the Battle of Britain hotel. We had lunch and it was served in a large dining room overlooking lake Orta and the beautiful gardens downstairs. The view is stunning.
Lunch was very pleasant. Good beef carpaccio served with plenty of parmigiano and small salads on side. I discovered a new Italian dessert called Bonet, a speciality from Turin.
Efficient and friendly staff 👏👏

Nice and friendly dining paces are very close to the property.
If you love Art do not miss the Fondazione Antonio and Carmela Calderara a few hundred meters from Villa Le Vignole. It's a place full of incredible art pieces.
We already decided that next trip to Italy must include Luca's place!!

Ameno village is an interesting village with narrow streets and typical housing. People are welcoming you.
About the Giacomone Pecorino site, the environmental scenery along with the house owner, a kind of charming and educated Robinson Crusoe, were a comforting and unusual experience
Lovely hostel , clean quiet comfy equipped kitchen in Ameno a charming village near to the Orta lake
Sweet garden outside the hostel with views and the local cafe bar was opposite for apéro and coffee etc
A small shop for food papers ice creams etc 2 mins walk away from hostel
A couple of pizzerias and auberges fairly near for reasonably priced meals
Good free parking
Plenty of tourist info and books
Really modern shower rooms all new
Great walks around the local area including down to the lake
Guidetta was very efficient
Rural B&B on a honeyfarm in a quiet village above Lake Orta. Free parking near the property. Sufficient breakfast with mostly local products (including their own honey). Owner can sent you to the hotel-restaurant at the other end of the village for dinner. Next day she gave me a walking map with which you can walk through some local villages to Orta (and the island in the lake). Really good place to unwind.
The area around Lago 'dOrta is beautifully green and the lake is clear. The hostel itself and the village of Ameno surrounding it could not be more Italian if Coppola directed the whole set. Nice other guests, quiet surrounding and a small jazz concert in the local park made the stay enjoyable. But the best were Giuditta and her daughters who were friendly and very helpful, thank you.
We needed a place to stop for one night, and this place did the trick. It's a bit outside of Orta's main village, so it's quieter than staying in town (which is quite touristic and busy). The bed was large, the air-conditioning worked well, and the blackout shutters were also fantastic. Note: you will need a car to reach the hotel.
We were in Italy during a heat wave. This hotel was the first one that had not one but 2 ac units in the room that worked. The staff was great and very accommodating.
We arrived very late and they stayed to let us check in. When we left they arranged for us to have an early breakfast. Our room had a terrace with view.
Excellent hotel with great views of the lake, food is great well stocked bar. In nice quiet location. We used it as a base for 5 days touring the surrounding area. Nice staff nothing was too much trouble. Parking is 100 Mt's down the road,or on the patio if you are on a motorbike.
Very nice and quiet hotel. Rooms are being renovated, but the one we stayed was not done yet. View from the window was magnificent. Staff is very kind and helpful.
Breakfast is simple but quite enough. Restaurant on site is very good. Food is delicious and prices are not biting.
Hostel highly exceeded my expectations! I loved the position in the centre of Ameno. Next morning I woke up and had breakfast at balcony with the view to the valley. The owner was very nice and I would love to stay in this hostel anytime!
The owners and staff were extremely helpful. The views were incredible and the food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Hotel Battle of Britain
