An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. Excellent breakfast. The calm&serenity of the place with the mild wind of the atlantic.. I cannot say enough. We were very tired when we arrived and left fully recharged at the end of our 3 night stay. I highly recommend this resort. You need a car for sure but within minutes you’re in Montijo which has the Alegro forum and minutes to the outlet mall in Alcochete. Driving distance to 4-5 major supermarkets. And the Hosts were wonderful and attentive. Can’t wait to visit again !

A lovely alternative to airport hotels for an early flight. Less than 30 minutes by car to the airport.
