The location was fantastic -just across the road from the beach. The facility was excellent with a pool - a rare commodity. It was very relaxing with many areas to just sit back and relax. The bartender would find where ever you decided to relax - inside or outside.
Situated 1000 ft from the Apulia Praia Beach, this hotel features modern, air conditioned rooms with balconies. There is an on-site restaurant and a terrace for sunny weather.

Was supposed to be in a mixed dorm but the host moved me to a small room with just one other girl. Felt like an upgrade! Nice kitchen and clean bathroom. Great location in a cute town.

The bedroom was large with a very nice balcony, comfortable bed, blackout shades and great shower with good water pressure.

All the good restaurants are outside Esponsende - mainly in Apulia. A nice little hike or short taxi ride. Bridge to Fao needs some TLC, at least if you walk over it. Fantastic views, but the rusty bits on the footpath high above the water are somewhat anxiety-inducing (and I even heard that from experienced Camino walkers ...) Would not walk over a second time ...

Esposende was one of the best places to stay that we have had on this trip for the Camino de Santiago. The people that run the hotel are wonderful and very friendly. Everything is very clean and they have a great lounge with a good kitchen to make what you want. I would recommend them and their rooms to anyone going to that area.

We thought everybody had left town.
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings.
Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.

We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.

Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal

Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
I loved this hotel. The decor was awesome and has stood the test of time. Yes, it’s a little tired around the edges but the wood, fluted glass doors and tiling are the same materials being installed in brand new London hotels trying to achieve a retro look. Its just a couple of minutes walk through the pine forest to the beach or the pool is just as lovely to sit around. Room had a huge bed, spacious balcony, motorised blinds and plenty of storage space.
Decent sized room, clean and tidy with a comfy bed. The shower/bathroom facilities were very new so really clean and in perfect working order. There was a well equip kitchen with a coffee machine for anyone requiring that. A nice bonus was the delightful sunny garden/terrace at the rear with tables and chairs. It's a bit of a walk to the centre of Esposende but then again it's not advertised as being in the town!
We Absolutely appreciated and valued the charming space! It was so cool yesterday and cozy this morning! Heaters were provided, private balcony to view the church and appreciated his attentiveness at check in being able to meet us on our timeline!! Thank you thank you! A perfect Camino stop to fully immerse in the culture with a grocery store down the road and pastry shop that is INCREDIBLE! love this space
The Esposende Guest House is situated in a great location, just steps from the boardwalk and the Camino. It has a lovely communal area with a large table and great kitchen. The outdoor patio is especially nice for sitting, eating or hanging clothes to dry. We enjoyed having the opportunity to meet other guests. The upstairs rooms offer more privacy.
The owners were super friendly and the facilities and gardens are amazing, there is a heated saltwater pool and plenty of space to relax or do yoga. It’s close to beautiful mountains and a beautiful beach is near, good choice of cafes and restaurants, peaceful in nature, but not isolated exactly what I needed.
Really nice hotel with the nicest staff.
Everything was clean and tidy and you were welcomed in a very nice manner
The room was clean and in a good size
The town is very nice, with bars, cafes and restaurants - everything in walking distance from the hotel
Right on the Camino before you reach central Esposende, the location was perfect after a day of walking. The staff was friendly and helpful and my room had a BATHTUB, which was perfect for soaking my sad feet.
A clean and comfortable rest stop on a long Camino walk. The location was good and in the heart of the charming small town of Esposende.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
Property was excellent. Spacious flat kept in great clean condition with all the equipment needed. Huge swimming pool and landscaped/grassed area for sun lounging.
