This hotel in Peso da Régua offers a splendid view of the Douro River and the green, mountainous landscape. Luxury amenities include an outdoor pool and massage treatments.

It is a very old hotel. The whole property either gets warm air or cold air. Unfortunately, the hotel staff decided they were chilly and the entire hotel was set to heat. The hotel has AC but the entire hotel either gets AC or heat. If you are either hot or cold and not in the populous, prepare to be uncomfortable.

Beautiful vacation apartment. Lots of space, well stocked kitchen, a quiet secluded feel to the apartment. Fatima provided a lovely breakfast at a very reasonable price.
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

A change of plans brought us to Porto - and a spontaneous trip to Douro Valley and we picked Quina Estrada from the net. We made an expert choice! What a delightful, warm, beautiful and comfortable place. So rich in history, family and culture. The people are helpful and genrous with their time and information.

It was the height of the tourist season (middle of August) and there was also a public holiday. The town was very busy and put quite a strain on restaurants and bars. Previous visits have been off season and the town copes a lot better, providing a more relaxed experience.
Visited with a group of 4 friends, this house was a perfect base for a few days in the Douro. Very large, there would have been more than enough space for a group of 8. The best part was the terrace overlooking the valley, perfect for breakfast or a glass of wine before dinner. The host was kind and attentive, he was helpful at check-in and brought a continental breakfast on the first day. It was 15min walk into town for restaurants etc. Fully fitted kitchen and dining room if you'd prefer to eat in. There was also secure parking.
We stayed for one night during a road trip from Porto up the river Douro.
This hotel is quite amazing, very clean with super attentive staff.
Our room overlooked the river and the views were outstanding. We were delighted that a huge thunderstorm came over during the evening with a lightning show of monumental proportions. Now no one can guarantee this but it was epic and wonderful to witness.
Overall this hotel really delivered for us with a fab room and great food.
Well worth booking we believe.
I loved the staff. They were so helpful and accomodating. My mother has mobility issues and due to the last minute hotel change the only option was one with a lot of stairs. The staff went above and beyond and brought breakfast to her room daily. They also changed the rooms so she would have one that had a larger shower and brought a stool for her in the shower. The rooms were beautiful, beds so comfortable, location perfect to walk into town or down to the Douro River. Definitely five star!!
The host - Angelo - is a fantastic host! Super friendly and super helpful. He gave us tips for the trip, places to see, viewpoints to visit, cathedrals and monasteries. The apartment is great too. Spotlessly clean, all facilities that you could need for a stay. A home away from home. Our stay here was great and we'll certainly be back here as this part of Portugal is beautiful and with a host and accommodation like this it's a must.
We booked the Harvest Program during our stay in late September. Caesar the fourth generation owner personally conducted the winery tour and Port tasting. Caesar was a charming, charismatic storyteller. We got to stomp the grapes in the wine vats. We had a wonderful dinner at the winery. This was one of the highlights are our entire trip throughout Portugal.
A beautifully restored old town house located in a quiet and pleasant part of the town. The suite was spacious and well equipped and it was great to have a balcony with a view to the surrounding hills.
The breakfast was good and served in a pleasant dining area.
The staff were all very pleasant.
Regua was a good base for visiting the area by public transport.
Margarida was lovely and took excellent care of us.
The view from the room is priceless.
A lovely pool: clean and cold water helped us through the heat.
The facilities and suite design is lovely.
The location: 5 minutes drive from Pesua da Regua.
Luis gave us a very nice wine tour through the Winery and we bought some nice wines/port to take home with us.
The staff is amazing and the hotel is clean and comfortable. You will not find a more hardworking team of people seeking to make your stay there wonderful. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and centrally located to restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Douro valley area.
This is a beautiful home that the host grew up in. The rooms are huge with a large bathroom as well. Unlike many of the small rooms we had in city hotels. The breakfast was excellent, the poolside a great place to relax after a day of travel. When you reserve, ask if you can have a room with a balcony facing the mountains.
The Hotel has very nice location on a river bank. Personal is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is tasty and served in restaurant with a river view on a bridges and Douro Valley. Swimming pool is additional advantage especially during hot days. Definitely recommend the hotel.
Fabulous views, delicious breakfasts and a delightful host make this a no-brainier if you want to explore the Douro. Generous public spaces and only three bedrooms makes this place feel like your own private villa!
A warm and friendly welcome to the spacious, clean and comfortable apartment with a lovely terrace and views of the Douro. Perfect location for a river cruise and lots of good restaurants just across the road.
Nice stay at the Imperio Hotel. Convenient for the railway station and onward trip along the Duoro Valley. Rooms warm and comfortable, breakfast enough to start the day with. Thank you A+++++
The staff were very welcomin
g and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and healthy. The hotel had been authentically restored into a bright and quiet space in the centre of town.
Excellent location within easy reach of Peso da Regua and Pinhao, amazing views, charming setting and rooms, wonderful staff and owner Cesar made our visit a delight.
Lovely family run hotel. Nice breakfast with buffet, and lovely pool area and garden which (like the hotel itself) has spectacular views over the Douro Valley.
