The breakfast was very good. Glad to know they made eggs for breakfast. But the kitchen was very slow at breakfast and dinner the night before.

Cute little place with two outside areas. Nice breakfast left for us. Owner was so accommodating. Let us check in early and stored luggage for us.

Just outside of Sinhao, Quinta de la Rosa sits on a Douro Valley hillside surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, and has a beautiful view of the Douro River below. The restaurant was excellent and we recommend reservations well in advance. Our stay was beyond expectations.

The host family is endearing. They don't speak English, so I communicated with the son of the family through the booking portal. The apartment is very decent. It has two bedrooms. One master bedroom and one small bedroom. Shower and tolite are separated. A fully equipped kitchen and a refrigerator makes you feel at home. The master bedroom bed was comfortable enough for me. I love sitting on the living room sofa drinking wine and playing with my Ipad. The owner went out of the way to help me with my laundry. I really appreciate it. It's a three minute walk to the Pinhao train station, and a few vineyards are in the walking distance.

Located in the center of town, 2 minutes walk to train station. Lots of bars and restaurants around. 2 bedrooms, one double bed and one two singles upstairs with one bathroom. Downstairs a kitchen and a livingroom. Beds and pillows ok on the normal hard side. Coffee and tea available. Toilletries available. Check your Booking messages for code for lock box with keys. Parking available on street above but long ramp up all the way.

We drove to Pinhão. The roads are slightly terrifying but the views are spectacular.
We were there in March so not everything was open. Best restaurant was Writers Place! The walking trails through the vineyards were fantastic!

The perfect spot to explore some of the lovely Quintas the Douro Valley has to offer. Would definitely recommend Pinhao as your base. We drove to Pinhao from Porto which was great for sight seeing and super easy. We visited the three Quintas that are within walking distance from Pinhao train station which were lovely. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance for dinners or lunch where possible. But we also did a few walk ins.

Pinhao is stunning. with good selection of restaurants in the evening. Beautiful wineries. As the wineries are built into cliffs the drive to Pinhao and around is not for the faint hearted. The roads are very narrow some without safety barriers. However if you can get past this it is worth it for the scenary. It is a sleepy village but everyone is so friendly. One or two days maximum is enough.

Excellent location on an S bend on the river Douro.
Excellent location on an S bend on the river Douro. Sleepy village atmosphere but with plenty of activities around the railway boat trips and quinta wine tasting. Some good restaurants. Wonderful views if you climb up through the village. Watch out for the dogs though - they are always enclosed but can be extremely aggressive.

The position of this hotel is breath taking and the staff are really helpful. Be careful when booking, some rooms are in the main building but some are away up and down a very, very steep lane. Not for anyone with a disability. We used the restaurant and although the food was lovely, we thought it was a bit pricey. It was good, but not that good.
We arrived in Pinhao on bicycles 5 weeks into our tour of Portugal. From the moment we met Rita and Pedro, we became instant friends and they provided everything we needed with a huge smile on their faces. They provided a safe space for our bikes, whatever we needed for breakfast, local knowledge and even helped us by making some phone calls for us in Portuguese for which we didn’t have the language skills. They also run a small, wonderful cafe just across the street from the train station. This stay was a gem!
Fantastic tucked on a hill surrounded by olive trees and vines (perfect for a morning hike) and located at walking distance to the Pinhao town. The House has a real homy feel to it and is well appointed. The fridge was stocked perfectly for us to make nice breakfasts in the morning and the clothes washer was a nice bonus as we are traveling across country. We also enjoyed a nice evening using the wood burning BBQ. This house is perfect to enjoy this incredible wine country and the beautiful views it offers.
If you’re looking for an amazing value for a stay in the Douro Valley, look no further. This is the place. Pedro recently renovated a historical building in the heart of Pinhão. It’s sparkling clean, modern, and very cute. The rooftop terrace is a treat. If you’re lucky the fox will come visit. A simple breakfast is included. Pedro and Sarah are generous and kind hosts who will tell you about the best places to visit in the region. I hope to come back in the future!
Beautiful location in the middle of vineyards, not far from Pinhao
Excellent guided tour through the winery with a very knowledgeable lady
Great dinner and a simple but good breakfast
Rooms are not big but they are clean and comfortable
Nice pool with a great view of the surrounding hills and vineyards
Very quiet location - loved the silence of the countryside!
Although we were on a Homeboat on water, we did not feel any movement, the boat is well anchored and we had a good night sleep.
The hosts were excellent and the basket in the morning with our breakfast included in the stay
It was a very nice experience in Pinhao on the Douro river
Great location in Pinhao. Breakfast was excellent and our hosts took care to cater for our dietary needs (one coeliac, one non-dairy). They were also very informative about the property and the area. Nice to sit outside on our own terrace with a glass of Douro wine!
This property exceeded our expectations and we were very sorry to be leaving after a 2 night break. Absolutely everything had been provided by an exceptionally and thoughtful host. We thoroughly recommend this property and would book again if we return to Pinhão.
Absolutely gorgeous setting, at the top of a hill outside Pinhao with terraced vineyards and amazing sunsets. The apartment was really roomy and comfortable and they left us a lot of food. The views were amazing and the drive up and down the mountain were fun.
The staff was so great and helpful. Restaurants on site were excellent and the cellar tour was really informative. Loved being walking distance from Pinhao, but the staff was helpful to call us a taxi for farther day trips.
Antonio was a great host and was great at communicating. This is a cosy and well located place in Pinhao. Would recommend to anyone wanting a taste of Douro Valley. Parking on street was free and quite easy to find.
Pedro & Sara are the best hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Pedro took time with each guest to explain where to go & what to do in Pinhao. The property is exceptional, especially the roof top space.
Lovely little apartment with wonderful balcony and outdoor terrace. We loved our time in pinhao. The hosts were so patient and lovely. Only a couple minutes from the train station and the river.
Lovely balcony overlooking Douro Valley. Very helpful. and accommodating staff. Monica was helpful with restaurant suggestions. Staff takes Great pride in their hotel. very nice.
