The men's room in the lobby was very dirty. The two men behind the check-in desk could have done something about it. The cleaning staff were working full tilt upstairs and I felt bad for them. They were friendly and so were the servers in the restaurant.

Disabled travellers need to be sure they get a room with appropriate facilities. Acknowledging a request is not good enough. The exact nature of bathroom accessibility should be clear - e.g. whether space for a wheelchair for transfer to shower seat and WC; Position of grab rails and drop-down handrails.

I booked this hotel because my sister uses a wheelchair and we were visiting crufts at the NEC therefore we wanted to be as close to it as possible. when they built the hotel they had no consideration for people in wheelchairs making the journey from the hotel to the nearby beautiful lake and on around to the NEC center.

Whilst i believe the hotel is being renovated, the carpets in the bedroom were filthy. Looked like workmen had been in there with their dirty boots. Breakfast was terrible, Did not have no choice, we were asked what we wanted. When it arrived the sausage and bacon were under cooked.
Would not stay here again.

Terrible room.
Terrible room. The shower was separate to the toilet and there was nowhere to dry yourself in the shower. Consequently my partner slipped and fell, resulting in a massive bruise. No mats provided.
I will not be returning.

Staff were friendly and helpful . Room comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful . Room comfortable bed. Disappointed that hand wash and shower gel were empty considering price of room .
Breakfast £18 expensive but a lot of choice .
Waited along time to check in .
All the staff we met were excellent and the hotel was in the ideal location for us as we had an early flight.
It was clean, comfortable enough for one night and had a compact shower . It was perfect.
Excellent service from Lorenzo in the dining room , food choice of food although it is expensive and my fish and chips were not the best by any means. My sister's meal was much nicer! . All in all it is ideal , no stress in the early hours if catching a flight at that time of day.
I've stayed at Ibis Birmingham Airport several times. The staff members are friendly yet professional. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from airport departures; obviously, depending on mobility. All my flights from the airport have been very early. For that reason, this is my choice of hotel. The rooms are surprisingly silent, considering the location, pristine clean with comfortable beds.
The hotel i situated close to the airport. The monorail brings you in 5 min to Birmingham international for free. The breakfast was tasty. The renovation og the hotel and rooms is noticeable. The room was comfortable, cosy and clean (with ironing board and fine hairdryer). The concierge (white-haired man) was EXTREMELY KIND!!! As well the cleaning mail staff on 5th floor was very supporive.
Our visit was to the NEC. The hotel was on the doorstep. Thought it would be noisy being near the airport. Didn't hear a thing. Hotel modern, clean, friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the staff looked after us exceptionally well. Was very pleasantly surprised. This will be my choice of hotel on future trips to Birmingham. Thank you Holiday Inn Express.
Absolutely everything it was a fantastic hotel with amazing staff they couldn't have been kinder or more helpful, from the front of house, management and a particular thank you to Linda in the breakfast room she gave us so much help thank you all for a fantastic time. Clean rooms nice pool and jacuzzi very nice food. Highly recommended place to stay A+++++
Front desk people were great. They loaned me a hair dryer. Rooms very quiet and bed very comfortable.
Loved that I could simply walk 4 minutes to middle of airport car park to the hotel, and then the next morning walk 4 minutes to bus stop to take bus to LHR.
Beautiful area and grounds. Very clean, food lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely seeing the deer roaming the golf course. Hotel a little dated but everything lovely and didn’t particularly bother me.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is excellent for super easy access to Birmingham airport. Comfy bed too and it was a nice touch to have a welcome drink.
Efficient and professional staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Very short walk to Birmingham airport. Restaurant & Bar prices reasonable for an airport hotel.
We always use the Ibis when we fly out of BIrmingham Airport, the hotel is ideal and everything is the best you could wish for a nights sleep before a flight
Hotel worked well for one night before catching an early flight at Birmingham airport. Staff were very friendly and it was easy to check in and check out.
