Ultra friendly owners determined to help on arrival and settling in. The "basics" provided were a really nice touch. Parking adjacent to the studio and very safe feeling.
Roomy and comfortable open-plan "through room". Very comfortable large bed.
Situation good for exploring this area and close to Plymouth for continental ferry.
Would happily stay here again.
Located in central Callington, this hotel is a 20-minute drive from the center of Plymouth and within walking distance of different shops, restaurants and pubs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was great. Food was available and was good. Breakfast expensive considering the basics offered but plenty of it.

A very lovely, clean, peaceful accomodation. Stunning views from the dual aspect windows in our bedroom, which had all amenities including a walk in wardrobe/dressing room. Ashley our host was a very polite, attentive young man.

As a holiday cottage, No1 Manorcombe was small and could have been better equipped (see longer review).
Callington and the Tamar Valley are gorgeous and packed with family friendly activities, (from archery and canoeing to the fabulous Eden project).
We would definitely come back to the Tamar valley, and perhaps even to Hornicombe Manor Holiday Village but if we did, we would be careful to book one of the larger, better appointed and better equipped chalets.

Nice area, nice view but only if you’re in the right lodge .
Nice area, nice view but only if you’re in the right lodge . Nice indoor and outdoor pools, the pub on site serves pub fare food but was good. Beware some of the properties are accessed by steep hills, the water pressures not very good especially during high demand

Lovely house in a lovely location.
Lovely house in a lovely location. We stayed for a wedding locally so didn’t use any in site facilities. Did have trouble finding initially as the postcode took us somewhere else but soon overcame this.

Callington is a small town.
Callington is a small town. Many shops close early or only open on certain days. Coming from 24 hour London it seemed an irritating inconvenience at first. Then I remembered as a child of the 70s and 80s that life used to be like this, early closing and Sundays off. So it was, a trip back in time to a slower, quieter and less stressful time, and I enjoyed my stay there. AJP Taylor would be proud.

Lovely aspect, views towards the distant river Tamar, south facing sunny outlook, we were very lucky with the weather so used the outdoor area to relax in the evenings.
Extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated.

Callington is a small village, but there is a tesco supermarket and b&m store within 10 minutes. We found the location great for getting around, most of our trips were within 1 hour from holiday home. We visited Plymouth and the harbour - great fish and chips and brought some home made cornish pasties home. Went to Eden Project was very dissappointed, not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.
Visited old fishing village at looe, great beach and some interesting shops to browse. Dissappointed monkey santury wasn't open during the week only open n a weekend. Honicombe Manor House good for food and there are a couple of nice pubs nearby to get food/drink but you would need a driver.
