The room was quiet, but there was a faulty air conditioner / heater unit that automatically started up at 7:00am each morning, making sound like heavy raining on a tin roof. This was a bit disturbing and it woke me up. I did report it to reception, so I can only hope that this was rectified ready for the next guest to use that room.
The room was at the end of a corridor, meaning no footfall of other guests passing by so was very quiet in that respect.

Bordering the Peak District, pioneering Derby was the site of the first factory during the Industrial Revolution. The city was a silk producer and a former mill forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Derwent Valley Mills, lining the Derwent River between Derby and Matlock.
Also by the river is Darley Park which hosts an annual chamber orchestra concert. The city centre arboretum was England’s first public park, and Markeaton Park in the north-west has a light railway. Nearby is the university campus and 18th-century Kedleston Hall, a Palladian-style mansion involved in filming of ‘The Duchess’.
Another royal connection is Bonnie Prince Charlie who stayed at Exeter House. A replica of his room is in Derby Museum and Art Gallery, and there is a statue of him in Cathedral Square. Opposite is the oldest pub, the Dolphin Inn, but the best nightlife is around Friar Gate.
The nearby Cathedral Quarter is full of eateries and shops, and the Westfield Centre houses big name brands. The Grade II-listed Market Hall offers a range of stalls above underground tunnels which are supposedly haunted by one of Derby’s many ghosts.
Derby County FC play at Pride Park, near the train station and several hotels with parking. Booking.com also offers cheap apartments and guest houses near East Midlands Airport.

The art gallery was interesting, especially the surrealist paintings. I highly recommend the Kedleston Hall! The staffs there were really helpful and informative, and the elegant interior design is especial. The Pickford’s House is interesting too, because there’re many grand upper-class mansions open to tourists but not homey middle-class houses like this. Everyone I met in this town was friendly, like we’d been friends for years.

Plenty of bars and restaurants. Perfect for shopping too.
Very lively on a Saturday night.
Personally I would recommend more Christmas activities. What was there was nicely done though.

We loved the cathedral and old quarter, we loved the Book Café which we visited three times in three days!
We loved all the little shops and cafes near the Cathedral up Saddlers street? Also noticed live music and beautiful places to go at night but we didn’t go into these this time.

The visit to the football club was great I attended an event in the club at night and the kids were overwhelmed. The shopping centre was amazing and so close to my hotel which was walking distance, the coach station has plenty of facilities food outlets plenty and general goods choices
We liked everything about this hotel, which we chose because of its proximity to friends we were visiting. It is also very convenient for Ashbourne and the Derbyshire Dales. Extremely comfortable room, good food, wonderful staff (friendly and efficient) and "dog friendly". A table was reserved for us in the bar so that we could eat with our dog. We felt that it was excellent value for money and when we need to stay in this area again we won't hesitate to return here - provided they have a room free!
room was amazing, and extremely clean. Breakfast was so tasty, and the staff were lovely. The hotel is absolutely stunning inside and out, but what made our stay extra special was charlotte who was at the front reception. We explained our situation at the stuart hotel derby the previous hotel ,and had to change hotels pretty quickly, and she made our stay at the breadsall priory extra special : ), so we'd like to thank her.
Fantastic location with £8 overnight parking at the nearby Derbion shopping centre, quite a large room considering the cheap price, staff were very helpful and friendly. Powerful air conditioning and the hotel itself is easily walkable distance from everything in the town centre. Weren't able to use the gym but great that there is that facility and the staff reminded us we had access to the gym when we checked in.
Staff were both helpful and extremely friendly, the room met my expectations [in fact compared with a number of Hotels I have used in the last few years it had more than enough facilities for clothing etc], it is situated clos enough to Derby Railway Station and City centre to be able reach on foot comfortably. Private taxi companies were in close proximity to the Hotel.
Lovely large bedroom with original signs of the stable. Warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. Sadly restaurant was not fully open due to staff sickness but what we did have was very nice. The same applies to the breakfast but again the limited breakfast was nice. The hotel is out in the country but not far from major roads and Derby.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The building is very stylish and this is reflected in the size of the bedroom and especially the large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the hotel's bistro. There is ample parking and the Derby Conference Centre and Hotel are in spacious grounds, well back from the road.
The cooked food was always excellent - they must have a good chef.
The staff were all lovely.
The rooms were pretty comfortable with good facilities. Plenty hot water and good showers.
It is walking distance from Derby town centre.
The hotel car park is convenient if there is space in it.
This hotel is ideally located, by a beautiful loch with amazing walks and a nice pub that serves amazing Greek food next door. The rooms are lovely, well equipped with underfloor heating which makes it feel that little bit more special.
Good food in the pub with plenty of choice. Friendly and helpful staff both in the pub and hotel. Ample parking near to the main door. Ideal location for both Derby & Nottingham city centres with nice walks and a park close by.
Price - it was cheap. I had a one-off event in Derby that weekend so I was happy to stay in a cheap and cheerful place. The room had a lock on the door for added safety. The nearby Aldi and Fish-and-Chip shop was a bonus.
Very relaxed and comfortable environment. Gate access works very well. Excellent location for trips to Derby (closer) or Nottingham. Room was very clean and had spacious bathroom.
The hotel was very conveniently situated. The meals were lovely and my room was very comfortable. Car parking was no problem. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Location was good from hotel to Derby & Burton-upon-Trent.
Price was good for the amount of time spent.
Reception staff were friendly and professional.
