The old town within the walled city has plenty to explore. Lots of places to eat and drink. We went on an interesting walking tour which explained the history of the city. We were only there a day as walking the Camino Primitivo but could easily have stayed longer.NigelUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The city is beautiful and has lots to offer… for example the Cathedral has an impressive museum upstairs on the gallery as well as a stunning altarpiece and stained glass windows; the tourist information office has an important exhibition about the Roman wall, which is apparently the most complete walled city in Europe. You can walk all the way along the wall in about 45 minutes. Coupled with this, there are amazing bars and restaurants with friendly locals and the Playa de Las Catedrales, north of Lugo is the most stunning beach I’ve ever seen.JaneSpain - 8.0Scored 8.0

Mostly pedestrian within the walls, so easy to wander through interesting streets and you can do full circuit of the Roman walls,about 2k, wide path and views over city.Other Roman remains slightly disappointing although the mosaic house was worth visiting. We also enjoyed the exhibition on the Camino in the regional tourist office. Panels in Gallician, Spanish and English. Lugo is a good place to visit for a day or overnight trip - the Roman walls and old town offer good options for sightseeing- walk the entire wall and then there are many fabulous bars and restaurants - great Tapas - it is not touristy

Lugo is a great city (it was our first visit) and the old town is located within a circular old city wall. Despite the hotel being situated a few mins walk from the old city wall, it is still in a very good location as Lugo is not a big city. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly and the rooms were good with nice quality toiletries.

The combo washer/dryer was outstanding after 9 days on the Camino and we opted for some light snacks from the grocery for dinner after a large lunch for which the kitchen was well suited. Best air-conditioning we have had in Spain!
