Located in Red Deer, Holiday Inn Express - Red Deer North, an IHG Hotel provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property has a 24-hour front desk, an ATM and currency exchange for guests.
Every exchange with a staff member while we were there.
Western Budget 1/ Mosaic Suites provides accommodations in Red Deer. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a shared lounge and a 24-hour front desk.
I loved the price for the accommodations I received.
We stayed to visit my brother in Michener Centre. We took him to the Collicutt Centre which is fully accessible for people in wheelchairs in the pools. The Collicutt Centre provides wheelchairs to be taken into the water. There is a hot pool for people in wheelchairs and a hot pool for more able bodied people. It is also fully accessible for people in wheelchairs at Gaetz Memorial United Church. On the whole Red Deer is progressive for people with disabilities.

We were in town for me to compete in the Spartan race.
We were in town for me to compete in the Spartan race. We did not know it was Westerner days which was a great bonus. We got to eat some fair food and went to a great local restaurant. Red Deer is great.

Red Deer is an unknown gem of a mini-vacation.
Red Deer is an unknown gem of a mini-vacation. There's lots of things to keep you busy, from quiet pursuits (Fort Normandeau, the migratory bird sanctuary, parks, etc) to much more active pursuits like the BMX trials, the air show and concerts that we heard about when we were there. It's got loads of shopping in less crowded spaces as well as many specialty shops if that's your thing. Great restaurants and access to many prairie gems as well. We love Red Deer as a weekend haunt.

Very nice small city. Very easy to drive around. Lots of green areas with walking and cycling paths. All the same amenities, restaurants and retail outlets as a larger city but without the headaches of the congested traffic.

If you are attending the CFR at the Centrium in Red deer,...
If you are attending the CFR at the Centrium in Red deer, this hotel is a two minute drive with clean, quiet, comfortable rooms equipped with exceptional bed, coffee maker, microwave, fridge and free Wifi. The basic continental breakfast is fresh and tasty, but a large variety of dining options are available adjacent to the hotel in both directions, many within walking distance. Easy access from Highway 2 and convenient free parking. A definite gem at a reasonable price!
There is no breakfast at this facility but grab-and-go breakfast bag can be order in the evening and will be ready to go in the morning. I had not seen such an option before in any other hotel. I liked this option. The front desk lady was very kind from the moment she greeted me and later she kindly responded to my request to help me with the TV. I had made wrong selection and lost the tv channels connections. The location was perfect and the Red Deer shopping mall is just across the street.
Breakfast was excellent. Even if it was ala carte, the serving was a lot and made us too full every morning. Property is a bit old but clean. However, bed and pillows were not as comfortable compared to other hotels. I think it comes with the age of the hotel too. Overall, staffs were very friendly and very accommodating. I also love that all their rooms are pet friendly and they dont charge any fee when you bring a pet. I just think that carpets , pillows and bed needs updating.
I have had a previous stay so i was excited about stayin at this hotel. And because it holds major sentimental memories with my LATE ex true love of my life. I was wanting this because he passed away 1 year ago. We celebrated my brilthdsy here 2 years ago next week and was the last tkme we were together to celebrate a birthday.
We unknowingly stayed in Red Deer during Westerner Days and hotels were booked up. Normally we would have stayed in a more modern upscale hotel. As a budget hotel the accommodations were fine. It was clean and I felt safe staying here. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I liked that it is so close to my Mom at the Hamlets of Red Deer. Perfect location.
I really appreciated the open regular breakfast instead of a bagged breakfast. Thank you for realizing that a hotel can still have the regular breakfast during this time.
The Holiday Inn Express North in Red Deer was close to relatives we were visiting. When we arrived, Booking.com had not informed the hotel of our reservation, but fortunately we had the confirmation to show them. The staff was very courteous with us.
This hotel is great value for the price. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were second to none. Plus they had a great breakfast! I would recommend this to anyone looking to travel to Red Deer!
It has a good location , is in between everything. The price for a night is reasonable and affordable for emergency if you don't live around red deer . The staff is very welcoming , attentive and nice.
The staff itself are fine. The hotel was easy to find. The price was very inexpensive. It was quiet and easy to fall asleep for the noise or lack of it. Even though it was close to a main road.
