4 Miles to Sequoia NTL Park, hotel in Three Rivers

Offering a garden, 4 Miles to Sequoia NTL Park features accommodations in Three Rivers. Featuring city views, this vacation home also has free Wifi.

Our Experience at the Sequoia Park Vacation within 4 miles from Sequoia National Park lies a hidden gem: the Sequoia Park Vacation House. My recent stay at this idyllic retreat left me utterly rejuvenated and deeply connected to nature. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast or unwinding with a glass of wine at sunset, the deck quickly became our favorite spot to soak in the natural beauty of the park. After a day of exploration, returning to the vacation house felt like coming home. We would gather around the fireplace, recounting the day's adventures and planning our next escapades. The fully-equipped kitchen allowed us to whip up delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients, adding a touch of culinary delight to our wilderness retreat. Overall, our experience at the Sequoia Park Vacation House was nothing short of magical.

Nice little community right outside the southern sequoia entrance. Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to stay with very nice people. The area has nice places for lunches, coffee, and gas but the nearest grocery store is at least 15 miles away.

The original room was horrible, I was stunned they would even offer it to us. Back door had air gap letting cold air in, no deadbolt on it. Old flooring in living room, carpet in bedroom was soaked. They moved us to another room, smaller, 2 beds. No apology or refund (they also overcharged us $30 for a 2nd night). I’ve attached pictures of the new room . Bathroom shower needs serious repairs and the ceiling is shoddily repaired. Ac/heater unit is ancient and loud. Only way to turn off bed light is to unscrew the bulb. Other bulbs are burnt out. It appears the hotel is hanging on by a thread. Should be banned from booking.com. Not up to standards by any means

Hotel has great potential but cleanliness of my room was a great disappointment. Even after raising our concerns they were not fully addressed. Pizza place just down the road was surprisingly good. Although the heart of Sequioa NP is only 30 miles away, it takes at least one hour because of a very steep, narrow and winding road. Elevation gain is over 4,000 feet.

It's a beautiful spot for one night. Unfortunately Sequoia Nat'l Park had a few road closures and much of the park was off limits. We stayed and ate at the Gateway Inn which is close to the entrance.

Beautiful small town with tons of unique local joints to check out! Sadly we were only in the area for two days to visit the national parks, but I wish we had another day or two to check out the town itself. Everyone we met was super friendly and the food and drink options were refreshing after trekking around Sequoia and Kings Canyon all day.

Three rivers is a very charming town to drive through on the way to the majestic Sequoia park, but what thing to really keep in mind is what season you go. I have been through Three Rivers more than a 10 times as a traveler from Los Angeles so I know. The most breathtaking time to go is early spring, March to April because everything turns into emerald green and the waterflow is abundant, specially noteworthy is when you first see the snow capped mountains of the Sequoia park. Anytime after June all the way to October, everything looks kind of dry and it gets very hot and touristy. In Winter - Nov through March, you will most likely have to put chains on your tires and it's a bit more hazardous driving through the curved roads going up to the mountain. Also it gets very cold and many of the trails become alot tougher to walk on. Just keep in mind, that during winter, it's a calculated risk driving even with snow chains, one slip up and your car can easily fall off a cliff. Henceforth, I have mostly avoided going in winter time, buy hey don't let me stop you if feel like a daredevil. Go during March or April, you will have the most beautiful scenery through Three Rivers and specially the Park.

When we arrived we were greeted by Lisa our graceful hostess. She gave us the tour of her lovely home and re located us to a room that was very comfortable with w king bed, a claw foot tub, a tv.and a fireplace. Wonderful! The property is amazing with it huge palm trees and mowed lawn. There are tables outside for breakfast and Turkish robes for a jacuzzi that we enjoyed under the stars. Breakfast so good!! The whole stay was perfect!! Highly recommend visiting this hotel.

The Lazy J is well positioned for a visit to Sequoia. It really is like staying on a little ranch.Three rivers is as well a really cute little place and very beautiful. We even managed to see a bear the day we we were leaving, although we were assured by the friendly housekeeping that this was a rare occurrence. The swimming pool is very clean and a welcome cool down after a very hot day on our roadtrip. The hummingbirds were amazing to watch

The fact that you had to check in using the restaurant was problematic. Also parking was an issue as there were few spaces for the hotel room but utilized by customers dining. We wanted to check out early but the restaurant was not open until 8 am and that was the only way to check out. No phone in the room to call for service or check out.

I wanted to book a value hotel and this was it. It wasn’t a 5-star resort and I wasn’t expecting that, however this hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, clean beds, nice owner, clean pool, etc. I’ve booked value hotels before that needed up being complete dumps. This one was perfect for what I paid and again, exceeded my expectations.

The outside area was nice. You could sit outside in the morning or evening and listen to the wildlife by the river. It felt very much like an old school cabin from yesteryear. Rustic without being too worn out. I wanted something easier than camping but not a cookie cutter hotel. This was perfect.
