We visited Lookout Mountain and the grave of buffalo bill.
We visited Lookout Mountain and the grave of buffalo bill. Great views here and a free attraction.
the Coors Brewery we attended for a tasting (the tours book up far in advance so be sure to book ahead). The tasting is good value for money and the staff were informative and friendly! The tasting room is nice and has lots of historic photographs to check out! Of course there is a gift shop with some great souvenirs and pricing was not bad!
We went to a concert at Red Rocks outside of Golden and we highly recommend checking this place out!
We would have liked more time to check out downtown Golden so we will need to return!

Love, love this town.
Love, love this town. You have to try the Buffalo Rose and make sure you try the Deli in the center of town ... best sandwiches. The Tea Shop called Old BarrelTea is an absolute must and the liquor store directly behind it as well lots of local bourbon whiskey and spirits. Love the pace and the friendly people here and its BEAUTIFUL!

Lovely small college town hidden right next to Denver.
Lovely small college town hidden right next to Denver. The Colorado School Mines and Coors are the big draws. However the food scene in really good and there are plenty of shops to keep you interested. Great place to live, study and visit.

Golden is my favorite place to stay when visiting CO.
Golden is my favorite place to stay when visiting CO. It is close to Denver downtown, as well as the outdoor recreation of the Rockies. The city is clean and has markedly less drifter and homeless folks than Denver or Boulder.
The microbrewery out near table mountain (New Frontier, I think) is a great place to spend a Saturday. Local venders, brewers, dogs and their owners all come together for music, shopping and entertainment on their very spacious patio. They also have some low difficulty trails and a dog park right there at the brewery!
Table Mountain Inn is very charming and has very kind and helpful staff. Unless you are on a very tight budget, do your best to avoid the La Quinta.

Lots to see and do here, besides the obvious front range...
Lots to see and do here, besides the obvious front range location for fastest commuter access to Summit Count skiing. Be sure to swing by Lookout Mountain and Buffalo Bill Cody site, also visit the park nearby to see the bison herd. Red Rocks amphitheater including the Rock & Roll museum is worth a half day. You can hike there across the ridge from Morrisey park down the road, in good weather, takes a few hours round trip. Worth a visit to historic downtown Golden, you can kill a whole day exploring there, plus tours available if you don't want to self guide.
This hotel is an absolute gem in a fantastic location on the main street and overlooking the creek with amazing views into the mountains. The staff are welcoming and couldn't do enough for us during our stay.
The hotel is absolutely immaculate with large comfortable rooms.
We were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we were upgraded to a creek view suite which was absolutely delightful. I really can't recommend the Golden Hotel enough.
I liked how accommodating Rebecca was with my girlfriend and I's dietary requirements for breakfast. Her and I are both vegan and she knocked it out of the park in terms of a delicious breakfast that is also vegan. The town itself is quite relaxing with a nice view of the mountains. We chose this area because it was close proximity to Red Rocks and other hikes in the area. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Denver / Golden.
The proprietor serves a wonderful breakfast prepared with TLC. My wife has celiac, and they even prepared fresh gluten-free bread, scones, and cookies for her. Location was easy walk into downtown Golden. Much less expensive/better value than staying at one of the two conventional hotels in downtown Golden.
Katlin greeted me as I walked in and made me feel at home in my entire stay, she went above and beyond to tell me what was around the hotel and explain the amenities also help me print couple pages I needed. The world Needs more people like Katlin
The Table Mountain Inn itself was such a delight - from check-in - to in house restaurant and pub - to views from the
balcony (room 501) and just the room itself was fun - ultimately the experience can be best described in one word -“Golden” …
Great hotel - staff, taproom, back patio, food & beverage selection, decor, room design, bed, all were fantastic and I'd go back in a heartbeat. Central location in Golden with easy access to freeway and town make it an ideal place to stay.
Awesome stay at the Golden Hotel! The front desk staff was INCREDIBLE! We even talked about how they were REALLY just the perfect picture of "Hospitality".
Room was clean and king size bed was very comfortable. Good linens and pillows.
While the room was clean and tidy, they gave us a room less than 20 meters from an interstate highway there was far to much noise elevator did not work, and breakfast not good. wrong location to have a hotel
Room smelt like dog the whole time. The sheets on the bed had blood stains everywhere. There was never breakfast in the mornings. All in all I liked nothing about this hotel
The hosts couldn't have been nicer and Judy cooked an amazing breakfast every morning for us. The house was beautiful and very convenient for Golden centre.
