This is a fantastic place, especially if you have ever wanted to stay in a peaceful, beautiful Portuguese village. The owners have perfectly refurbished several old houses with modern conveniences for a very comfortable stay. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heart-beat.

This was such a lovely place, exceptional quality in every respect—from beautiful renovation within traditional stone walls, to the aesthetic design and details of tile and wood, to the cozy warmth of the soft and comfortable bedding. The hosts were very kind people—who brought us delicious breakfast in a picnic basket each morning! We loved staying so close to Barcelos, but in this little slice of rural paradise. Highly recommended!

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa, 17 km from Longroiva Hot Springs and 42 km from São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casas da Barca offers air conditioning. Everything we needed was there and everything was practical and functional. The layout of the apartment is very nice and we could not have asked for more. The location is excellent. We walked for dinner in the centre every night and it is just a short stroll away.

It was really everything amazing. Miguel got in touch with us from the moment we landed and managed to provide us early check-in. At the time we arrived to his premises he was already there waiting for us. He explained us everything and we got an bottle of wine as a present. The little hause was very clean with all the necessary equipment. Kids especially enjoyed ocean proximity. We loved it!

Very clean, easy to locate & check-in as they respond to your msg quickly. Location from & back to the Portuguese Camino was perfect. Its a 2 bedroom house so the cost was split. Also having all that you need (kettle, coffee machine, washing machine etc..) after a long days walk & early start makes all the difference.
