This was our second stay on our 2 month trip. Shangri-la Bangkok is the gold standard. Exceptional in every way. Ate at Voti Italian restaurant 2 nights. Fabulous. A true first class restaurant. The concierge helped us a lot. He made me a dental appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Did the facial, ear candling, dentist, and haircut. Worked out in the gym a bunch. Excellent facility. Spent a bunch of time at the pool . Fabulous. Of course the staff is always excellent. We stay in the private Krupthep wing. That area is quiet and over the top beautiful. We have one more stay for 3 days middle of May before we go back to the boring USA. Thank you for everything.

Maison Hotel Bangkok, hotel in Bangkok

Maison Hotel Bangkok offers stylish accommodations in the heart of Bangkok, 656 feet from Nana Plaza and 886 feet from Nana BTS Skytrain Station.

This hotel lies on one of the most robust roads at Sukhumvit, it is a red-light district where there are hundreds of night bars and cannabis. Despite that, the hotel was still super soundproof, you won't realize you are staying near a red-light road. The facilities are cool, they also have Nespresso coffee instead of instant coffee in the room

FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.

Bangkok seems to have doubled in size since our last visit...

Bangkok seems to have doubled in size since our last visit when we passed through during the Millennium. It's a great City but it also doesn't feel anything like the rest of Thailand. This feeling was probably influenced by our visit coinciding with the the Songkran festival celebration which, while great fun, just felt like we could have been in lots of other cities as all of far East Asia descended on Bangkok for those days. If you're visiting as part of trip around other parts of Thailand, I would just recommend visiting here first & then going on to see some other places instead of finishing your visit here as we did. It would have been better for our final impression to be an amazing beach location, for example, instead of what is now a fairly generic sprawling city.

The land of mangoes, tuk-tuks and food deliciousness.

The land of mangoes, tuk-tuks and food deliciousness. Bangkok is hectic. As soon as you land, you get the typical feeling of crowded SEA countries, and the place is a hybrid between some accessible, convenient technologies of bigger, developed cities, and the frantic movement of masses of developing ones, with the perks of everything feeling cheaper too. Tips: 1. Get an eSIM before you arrive there, if possible, so you’re connected right away. Or else you can get one at the airport too. 2. Take MRT from the city to the airport (it’s quite cheap, clean and just a half hour away). 3. Take a tuk-tuk ride for fun, but beware they’ll try to rip you off every time. So unless you want to deal with that all the time, it’s best to get the “Grab” app (Uber in Thailand). Regular taxis work well too as they charge by the meter and feel safer. 4. An important piece of advice: hassle prices everywhere you go! Especially if you look like a foreigner (i.e. NOT Asian). My first tuk-tuk ride came down from 800 to 150! (THB), imagine! BKK airport is quite nice - lots of shops, and places to eat and drink (of different categories). Many security entry points, so they’re not crowded, and one passes very quickly. I have traveled a lot and dare to say that Thai cuisine is my favorite in the world. Coming to Bangkok and actually experiencing local, authentic Thai food was a dream come true, and it exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely come back to explore more of Thailand soon.

Price/performance ratio can‘t be beat, especially in Bangkok. We were there for a medical appointment, and the hospital was 350 meters away. The apartment is just basic but livable. Fresh water and a clean room every day were a bonus. The man (I forgot his name) at the front desk was an absolute delight. Polite, friendly, and spoke perfect English. He recommended everything in the area to us, and even a delicious authentic Thai restaurant. The best part of this stay was that young man. The hotel is lucky to have him.

The manager was very friendly and helpful, although unfortunately, the hotel itself did not fully meet my expectations at that price point. Breakfast options were below par compared to similarly priced hotels in Bangkok that I've visited. The room lacked a fridge, water kettle, or a proper wardrobe, amenities I would have appreciated. The place feels somewhat understaffed and in need of maintenance. On a positive note, the location is very central, and the manager is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Berkeley in London and expected probably same and more for the Bangkok Berkeley, as all our hotels were already very nice. But this is plain standard hotel without Thai touch in fact. But nice area, very spacious room, clean, but to common. Breakfast is amazing what they offer, but is so crowdy and noisy to eat. Friendly staff. Amazing beautiful pool. large pool, so you can actually swim. (pity that pool is closed in the late evening, like in many hotels in THailand.)

Our first accommodation experience in Thailand as we flew direct to Bangkok. The hotel exceeded our expectations especially based on the price. Was expecting a travelodge style hotel but this was a small boutique type place with great rooms, great pool and fantastic location. Off the main streets gives peace and quiet which is surprising being in the middle of Bangkok. Stayed for 2 nights before travelling south, worth every penny!

This location is very close to Terminal 21, a huge mall and great resource to have nearby while traveling. Additionally, the Asok BTS station is at the same corner, and so is the Sukhumvit MRT station, within an easy walk, giving you access to the entire public transit system for Bangkok. Using this as a central location was the best, and the small boutique-ness of the hotels was nice compared to the giant hotel towers nearby.

The hotel is nice, the room was clean, and the staff helpful, but a bit overpriced for what it offers (for this price we’ve seen other hotels go above and beyond in Thailand).
