A cosy hotel and restaurant in a quaint village. The food and drinks were excellent, good quality and traditional Czech dishes. The Staff and Owners were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I felt at home, comfortable and welcome. It was a fantastic stay I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. There is a regular reliable bus service passing the hotel (10 minutes to the airport) and a local supermarket for any necessities.

Set in a former farmhouse and offering a restaurant with a fireplace and a lounge, the family Hotel a restaurace Palfrig is located in Stará Ves nad Ondřejnicí, 14 km from the Ostrava ČEZ Arena and 6... Lovely hotel in the countryside with easy parking. We were delayed with our arrival and hotel contacted us to check whether we needed supper. They kindly allowed us to arrive at 9pm. Large room with view over the village. Good breakfast but we did not have a chance to try the main restaurant.

Do not be put off by the rather austere exterior. Inside the pension is comfortable and clean with large ensuite bedrooms and access to a small kitchen. The two sisters who run the pension are fantastic - very helpful and very friendly. The breakfast is exceptional value for money and is delicious and varied, served with a smile and advice on how to spend your day. There is a bar with outside seating too. Food is available if you wish. The town centre and river are 5 minutes walk away.
