Offering free 2-way airport transfers, Exotic Komodo Hotel features modern rooms with solid teak furniture and air conditioning. It houses a souvenir shop that sells local handicrafts. We book the hotel at the end of our trip because of its proximity to the airport after road trip in NTT/ Flores. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are clean. We can order food and have it delivered to our room. There is a souvenir shop with reasonable price just in front of the hotel and also Alfamart to buy our breakfast.

Nothing was too much. We felt like part of the family straight away. The room and breakfast are great value. Even though the location is not in the centre of tourist district, it didn't matter because it was only a 10min scooter ride in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

For those who love nature, I'm really recommend especially to the Island. Everything was soo nature and nice scenery. Spend at least 3 days as to ensure the place must be visited is captured. Local are soo friendly and helpfull. Don't forget to try snorkerlling if thats a trial for anyone.
Labuan Bajo needs to be careful with how many resorts they are throwing up all over the place. And educate everyone to stay away form the coral and do not touch the sea life. Float and observe. No fins necessary most of the time. You can float and see more and not damage the coral with big clumsy fins.
It’s rare I’m writing reviews. So far, I shared only 5-6. I’m writing only if it was exceptionally amazing experience or a real disaster… It’s the first time for me to share an extremely negative experience. When you arrive at hotel, you expect me to feel minimum trust with it I stayed for 2 nights in this budget hotel. Usually, people traveling to Flores Island to take one of the ‘Komodo island day trips’. They will be picked up very early in the morning (5:30-6:00am). The trip operator gives clear instructions of how to prepare? what to bring? Ect. Due to the intensity of the day structure, the traveler has to bring a breakfast box (because it will be very long, before food can be in reach). I asked the hotel manager if they can provide it to me? She confirmed, mentioning it’s a usual procedure in that area. 5:15 I arrived at the reception… no one was there. Neither the breakfast box. Things can happen, it’s not a big deal… When returning back from the day trip, I asked reception to shortly talk with the hotel manager, just to understand what happened? The hotel manager refused to communicate and just disappeared until I departed the next day. I’ve never experienced before such a behavior, specially from a hotel manager… It raised a big big Red Flag. Bottom line: I’ll not recommend to arrive in this hotel. Basically, It’s not to be trusted.
Great area, but the main attraction is the boat trips to visit the surrounding islands, beaches and Komodo dragons. We booked a 2d1n boat trip. We fitted in lots to this short itinerary but a extra night in the boat, as opposed to the land, would have been better. Seemed more to do at the opposite side of the island but its too far for a day trip. Great night market down by the port and lots of fresh fish and fruit available for sale.
I love it here. The people are so friendly, the food is very good, and the scenery is beautiful. You can book many trips, overland or to other islands, and of course see the Komodo dragon. There are some beautiful beaches too. I will come back again!
Labuan Bajo is a port harbor with its main attraction, the Komodo Dragon. There are day tours that you can take: Komodo Island with five other stops and Rinca Island with 3 other stops. The harbor master closed Komodo Island for 7 days due to weather but Rinca Island was open. The snorkeling is phenomenal with purple, green coral that look like cauliflower and broccoli florets with many colorful fish. There is no need to book tours ahead. You can walk down to the dock area and book with any of the vendors selling packages. Even the LBJ airport has tours available. We rented scooters to visit Rangko Cave and nearby Batu Cermin cave. The ride is beautiful and scenic. There is lots of seafood in this port town ranging from sea and lake fish, lobster, crab and squid. Labuan is worth a three day visit.
