As a solo traveller not confident to drive a scooter on my own, I also booked a scooter + guide/driver through Ricardo and had the most amazing day with a sunrise start! My guide Yuven was superb and I felt looked after for the full day as if he was hosting a family member in Ruteng - Yuven is full of information, has excellent English, is a safe and confident driver (I felt like a princess on the back of the scooter for the day, as we coasted through small villages with everyone keen to wave to the bule!). We also had some side trips after the agreed itinerary to his uncle's home to escape the rain with a Flores Coffee, a Kim fruit buying mission at the market and a local volleyball game.
