Great value spot for an overnight before we got on our liveaboard. Went to a decent local Warung nearby for food. Staff was really kind and helpful. Room was basic and clean.

Compared to the prices n other hotels in Sorong, it was nice, clean with good breakfast. The location is awful like the whole of Sorong. Do not leave the hotel! There is nothing to see. The airport is 500 meters away but they charge you 100.ooo rupias.

Featuring a shared lounge, Baronda Guest House is located in Sorong. This holiday home provides free private parking, private check-in and check-out and free WiFi. The host is an excellent communicator and incredibly helpful prior to and during our stay. We were given guidance and help with transfers and local tours. We took a bird tour to Malagufuk organised by our host at Baronda which was great. Our host helped me organise a meeting with a local conservation agency. Our visit coincided with that from the host’s family and we were invited to join for lunch which was very special and super tasty. The property is a bit out of town but it wasn’t a problem for us as we used Grab taxis and that worked well. Also the local buses are happy to pick you up so easy to get across town if needed.

It was a full spread too! We had all our al la carte meals at the hotel. They were superb. Rooms are clean and fuss free and easy to work in if needed.
