Offering an outdoor pool and views of the pool, WelcomHeritage Shivavilas Palace, HAMPI is situated in Hospet. The Hotel is just 15 minutes from the Jindal Vidyanagar Airport. Breakfast was very tasty. Homely. Services excellent. Fresh fruits, nicely cooked food, the Ginger Tea smoothened our throat. Room service was very quick. The quality of food is awesome. Nice museum. Highly knowledgeable and helpful Manager Mr. Joseph. Very efficient Front Desk Manager Ms. Tejaswini. The entire staff are affable. Nicely kept garden. Variety of Birds sighted. It is a good place for Botanists to learn more about exotic and local species. The proud thing is the State Tree of Karnataka, Sandalwood Trees - santalum album - are naturally grown. An idyllic place for stay and enjoy.

Food was exceptional, traditionally cooked home food. Be aware traditional sauces/ chutneys are a bit spicy. They don't have non veg though, Varsha restaurant close by offers excellent value for money, food ( non veg) included The location was the best factor in the stay, since hampi in itself does not have many good staying options, kamlapur , the location of this stay is just 10 - 15 mins drive from the main attractions. Rest all places , the driving time would entail more time to reach the places.

The whole place is in a huge well kept garden with hamocs and sitting opportunities. The restaurant has a beautiful outside sitting area and the breakfast buffet has a lot to offer for the cheap price. The staff is always helpful and available (but it is sometimes a bit of a riddle who is responsible for which thing...)
