After staying in both chain and independent hostels in Japan, and elsewhere in the world, I have to say this was my favourite hostel experience. It truly felt like my friend and I had just been invited to a family member's home to stay for the night. It was such a lovely and cozy experience! The decor is whimsical, the kitchen is well-stocked, the showers and facilities are fantastic, and the room we stayed in was tatami and lovely. Whenever I am in the Toyooka area again, I will be returning to stay at Hostel Act :)

Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Kannabe Highland is situated in Toyooka, within 11 km of Toyooka City History Museum and 24 km of Ito Kiyonaga Museum. This hotel is exceptional. Brilliant room and very helpful staff. Good laundry facility. Really close to the Onsen and hotel guests get a 100 yen reduction in cost for entry. A good selection of snacks also. May have been the first Kiwi to visit!

Google said it was love hotel but the room is normal, just that they got sell toys & can control the lighting. The room was clean & spacious. The bed was king size bed. Provided cleanser, make-up remover & moisturizer. Got free parking slot. Got refrigerator & water dispenser.
