This apartment was the best option I could find in Vadsø and it was a great choice. It must be one of the biggest accomodations I've had during travels and I had a great time here. It's located in a quiet neigbourhood, some hundred meters from the closest grocery shop. Booking.com claims there is no parking there, but it is.

Affacciato sul fiordo Varangerfjord, l'Ekkerøy Holidayhouse è una struttura a basso impatto ambientale situata sulla Penisola di Ekkerøy. Lovely property near the Kittiwake colony and situated perfectly between all the great birding areas in Varanger - it's just a short drive to the airport, Vadsø, Vardø, and Kiberg. We had the eagle house and it was absolutely amazing with views from the living room over the Kittiwakes and the ocean. There is free parking and a great hiking path just behind the house. The house is very well equipped and perfect for cooking meals, making coffee, laundry, etc. Beds are comfy, the curtains are blackout for long summer nights and the area is so quiet (except for the birds of course, but it's wonderful to hear them all day!) The host was incredibly friendly and provided us with lots of great advice about the area. Highly recommend staying here, it's one of our favorite stays of all time!

Rooms were new, clean and cozy, with comfortable beds. Exellent food, we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. We loved this place very much and would highly recommed it for anyone who travels in that area. Hope to come back one day.

Location was just great for us two persons and two dogs, was peaceful and the view from the terrasse was beautiful toward Nesseby old church nearby and sea. Was enough space in the accommodation. Terrasse was very good as we spent there time during the eves. Also fishing was easy to do ;). Very good place to accommodate and explore the surroundings nearby in Varanger area. We can warmly recommend this place and for sure we´ll be back some day.
