Yonz Self Catering Units enjoys a location in Port Alfred, a 14-minute walk from Port Alfred East Beach and 1.8 miles from Kelly's Beach. The lady receiving us waited out in the road in front of the accommodation to ensure that we didn't miss the place. We arrived quite late due to traffic. This was wonderful! The car park also has a security system in place which set our minds at ease with all our travel items still in the vehicle. The bed was fantastic and the bathroom had the best water pressure!

Overlooking the town of Port Alfred, boasting beautiful views of the Indian Ocean, this guest house impresses with elegant furnishings and an elegant atmosphere. The Lookout offers free WiFi. Beautiful views of the ocean and lagoon. Property is well designed and maintained. Rooms were clean and spacious. Angela went the extra mile for us being that we were leaving early in the morning before breakfast for a game reserve and she made an amazing lunch to take with us. She met us at 6am just before we left with lunch and some of the best cheese sandwiches I’ve had in a very long time. I feel it was due to her kind and loving nature.

We stopped here for a night on our trip along the garden route. We were pleasantly surprised at this little coastal town and how beautiful it is. We ate at a restaurant called Tash's and the staff were so friendly. Being accustomed to Johannesburg pricing, we were also blown away by how affordable everything is in Port Alfred. I would think that during peak months, it could get quite busy, but early September seemed to be a good time to visit this cozy time.
I was looking forward for boat cruise, going to the beach and many more activities to do but it was raining since Saturday. Only Monday the weather was getting better but unfortunately our time there was finished.
If you need extra activities you need to book on time , activities such as Spa , games they were fully booked. We had our dinner at Guido's they had the best and nice sea food ,but they couldn't offer best in their steak and chops
Port Alfred is a wonderful small town on the coast with many beaches and the river that one can boat on for quite some distance. In the area there are many other attractions such as museums, the giant pineapple, game reserves and other small towns that are worth a visit.
We just love Port Alfred, it is Quiet and not overcrowded / Pick n Pay Centre very nice - very friendly locals / Of course Guido's wonderful pizza / beautiful golf course / 28km of river to cruise up / the Rosehill Mall not too big, actually small but sufficient with a huge Spar. Car wash while you shop. Overall is Port Alfred just the perfect place to stay - right in the centre between East London and Port ELizabeth - 150km each way.
Quaint town. Beautiful seafront. Summer weather is outstanding. Town has all of the conveniences one wants. Supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, take aways, banks and ATMs. Boat and canoe hire. Extremely popular town over the Easter and year end holidays. With good reason!
